Excellent experience, wasn't in the ER for too long and they took great care of me. Frustrating to see so many negative reviews from difficult entitled people crapping on overworked hospital staff. Everyone there was extremely helpful, kind and caring. Maybe it's you......

I wish I could give 0 stars after the nightmare my mother went through at this hospital. A resident doctor tried to force my mom to undergo a surgery her family doctor states she doesn’t need after speaking to him. My mom only stated that she needed to think about it and that she needed medical results proving that the surgery was required as they didn’t present that to her. The resident doctor and ER doctor became rude and condescending towards my mom and stated that if they don’t do the surgery for her at that same hour that was it, in which he proceeded to aggressively remove the IV and told her she could leave. Very very horrific experience. I don’t think filing a complaint is enough for this inhumane act.

The experience I had with this hospital is just so traumatic especially in the 2nd assessment area of the ER. On night shift, there is 1 staff, I don’t know if he is racist or just simply rude. He doesn’t say anything, he just simply grabs you for vital signs while your asleep. Signals you for anything because he doesn’t want to talk at all. I do understand how busy these nurses are because they are understaff, but that doesn’t give them the right to be rude. I didn’t plan on being one of the patients either.

My wife was going for labor. We arrived at 5am. The staff at that time were incredible so as the delivery room until......that staff left and new ones came. They really didn't know what they were doing plus they were telling us that our doctor Truchon that my wife was going there during the pregnancy will show up for delivery and he didn't. She in pain and real pain. The first needle they put on thr back didn't work and had to put another one after 2 hours to my notice.( nurses talking a lot)....he didn't put it right the first time and could of paralyze my wife... After 30 hours of pain, not 1, not 2 but 11 nurses came. The 2 in front were ok and one other helping but the rest omg a joke. She didn't even check the correct time of my child birth ...I had to correct her....dumb blond.. After all that, we were sent to the room and the nurse was giving attitude saying were supposed to have our stuff with us.....like the other nurse told us to bring it after the delivery....no conditioning here.... Anyways The delivery room vip so we were like ok, the next room semi private should be same....... DISGUSTING..DIRTY....A JOKE

The emergency leaves a lot to be desired, as is true for any hospital in Montreal. Just going for testing however, I really appreciate that the staff don't get hostile with you for speaking English. Staff are helpful and friendly.

This is by far one of the most organized Emergency I've ever seen. Got there at 9 AM, saw the doctor at 11:30. The doctor consulted the neurologist and came back at 12:15 and I was out at 12:30. Didn't expect it this way. I was pleasently surprised.

Do yourself a favor and look at a map of this place before you go and give yourself time to get lost before your appointment. The underground parking situation consists of 6 levels of absolute chaos, but it's free for the first 2 hours so that's a plus. Staff will happily give you directions but as you confidently stride off into the hospital's depths you'll soon come face to face with several 'forks in the road' that they failed to mention. Ok, it's not THAT bad. Fortunately, I was only there for an allergy test and all of the staff I spoke with were friendly and helpful. I unexpectedly had to stay an extra hour so I went to get a snack. In retrospect I should've gone to the second cup that I passed on my way to the cafeteria but hey, at least I got to enjoy fresh grapes & cheese cubes (I don't know what it is about cheese being cubed but It just feels like the right choice). In conclusion, I stand by giving yourself as much wiggle room as possible before your appointment.

If there was an option to give 0 stars for this, I would have given that. I was in emergency department in September, last year. I explained the situation to the doctors as well as nurses in that department that I do not have a medicare at the moment but I have applied for it and showed them the confirmation. That time the employers said that you do not have to worry about the bills as it will be all covered in your medicare. Now after almost 6 months I received a call from the collection department of the hospital that you have to pay $875 for only one day in the emergency. I called the hospital to ask why I have to pay money now when you told me not to worry. They kept on connecting me to different departments and were so rude and not even ready to listen what I was trying to ask. Whoever the lady was on call today, you need to learn some etiquettes before doing that job. I hope you will learn to be respectful to your customers. Make sure that you provide the right information to the customers before putting them into a pathetic condition because of your own decisions. Try to be a good listener next time and please start listening to the customer’s decisions. Stop harassing them!!!!
