Pros; Friendly staff, good service, clean ducts. Cons; a bit expensive as a flat rate is charged even if you only have 6 vents to clean. Would have been nice if they had shop vac'd out the furnace and blower.

Really happy with the team showing up to maintain our DUCTS this year. Very professional right from the get go. Thorough and affordable. We will definitely use this company again. Thank you!

Ron and Declan called an hour before arriving which was a good reminder for me. They were very polite and professional. They didn't mind me asking if they would wear masks. They even went as far as asking me if I wanted them to move a little exhausted sparrow that had landed in the lattice on my deck. (The bird was okay to fly away on its own after a couple of minutes!) We need more people like them! I would definitely recommend them. Anita

I had a 1200 sqft attic space I needed cleaned out, so I went at it on my own and it took me 30 mins to do a 50 sq ft section with broom and dustpan/shop vac, and since I'm still recovering from whiplash I figured I would outsource the job rather than spending another 11 hours in a dusty and cramped environment. After a quick google search, I decided to send Fraser Valley Power an email. I was emailed back the next day to expect a call and a quote from the owner Alex, and he told me he ran the numbers and $650+GST was the lowest he could do for vacuuming out the 1200sq ft attic space with two guys. I said okay lets do it. They were expected to arrive between 11-1 four days after the quote and they arrived on time at noon. I heard a knock on the door and was greeted by 2 baby boomers in uniform "Hi, we're from Fraser Valley Power Duct Cleaning," they were both courteous and friendly and said it was a nice drive. I showed them the attic space and moved a ladder into position for them to use. I also had lighting inside the attic for them with a power cord. There were some tools and stuff up there which I could have tidied up but didn't get around to it before they arrived. They ran their hose and fired up the machine at 12:30 The machine ran for about 75 minutes and was shut off 3 times to unclog the line.(total of 10 mins) They shut off the machine for good at 1:57 and were all packed up by 2:10 pm They then took some photos of the heat pump work I need done and after paying them they were gone by 2:25 pm So in total: Travel Time: 2hr 40min (according to google maps) Work time: 2 hr 25 min (including taking photos for next job) Total: 5 hr 5 mins, rounding up to 5 hr 15 mins. That works out to $124/hr avg pre-gst for the 200psi negative air pressure vac truck with an operator/swamper. I went up in the attic space to check their work and had mixed feelings so snapped a couple photos. When I called the boss to inquire if they tidy debris that the hose couldn't suck up, he said they only do what the hose can suck up so I said if that's the company policy, then fair enough. In summary: Pros: -Polite staff in uniform -Good equipment -Punctuality -Availability -Got a majority of the debris sucked up Cons: -The crew could have done a second sweep from back to front to get any missed debris before packing up. I mean they did drive all the way up here so why rush off? -A minor detail, but my shop vac was also knocked over and the lid knocked off it which indicates hasty work / carelessness. -I noticed a $10 FSC (Fuel service charge) on my bill which I am surprised about since gas prices have gone down not up since the day I was quoted. So I give 3 stars, I really think they have the potential to be a 5 star company if they would address the cons, which shouldn't be that hard to do, at $660 that's the type of service I would expect as I had my ducts cleaned/sanitized for half of the cost last year. I do hope their HVAC tech will do a clean tidy job installing the heat pump and I will also do a full review of that once that is completed. Hopefully it's a 5 star one!
