I will say the shrimp and grits were delicious. However the wings, brisket sandwich and steak sandwich were very bland. Even the cola tasted like odd water.
The service was particularly poor. Overall a disappointment after reading such great reviews.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came in on Good Friday for a quick lunch by myself and had the pleasure of being served by Launie. She was an absolute gem and took great care of me. :) I loved that there are little bottles of branded hand sanitizer on all of the tables as well. Had the mushroom soup and it was incredible - reminded me of something I could find in the city for 3x the price. The grilled Caesar was also delicious. Will definitely be back next time I’m in Cochrane!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We lucked out experiencing here because we saw an incredible talk from a couple of really passionate doctors from Cochrane Family Chiropractic!! It's not the most convenient restaurant for us but we are already planning out next visit. The food! The service! The decor! All a win. Snaps for Forge & Smoke! yumyum ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I ordered their "Blacksmith Cheesesteak" and soup. The soup was okay but my sandwich was disappointing and the bun was very dry. Lots of meat in the sandwich and a few onions and that was it.
I realized when the bill came that I received the wrong sandwich; "Brisket Sandwich." The waitress got my order wrong (the service was quite slow too; waiting a long time to be seated and for a water refill). The restaurant was not busy or loud at the time - I was one of two tables at lunchtime in the whole place - and I speak very clearly. I just assumed my sandwich was the Cheesesteak but wondered where the cheese sauce (and other toppings) were? My first time here and probably my last.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food is really good. But the service is incredibly slow. Don’t expect to see your server for 20+ minutes at a time. They’re polite and friendly when they appear, however. Been here twice recently at different times of day and it was the same. Give yourself an extra 40 minutes before you expect to eat. If you can go to the pub side; much more visibility to the patrons so they don’t forget about you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ These cheeze and shrimp grits were insanely good. Just amazing worth way more than the 13$. Also had the fried chicken "hammer" burger which was messy and delicious. Servers were nice, informative and prompt.
Would highly recommend checking this place out!
