For the most part everything was great. Disappointing on Wednesday when there was no refreshment cart on the course. Had we known we would have taken water out with us but then again there was no bottled water to be had. All the machines were either empty or broken. The food wasn't as good as in the past and took a long time to prepare. The room was very clean and comfortable. The course was in great condition. A little fine tuning with the services and everything will be great

Restaurant and golf course were fantastic. Golf course was well taken care of and the layout of the course was fantastic. The staff of the hotel and restaurant were phenominal couldn't have asked for more friendly people. The only thing I would have to say that needed updating is the actual rooms. All though the rooms were very clean and the beds very comfortable the rooms were very dated and could not some updating.

Friendly staff and the room are a little bit outdated and the room don't have a microwave .. especially a lot of workers come to stay here for weeks and food is limited in the area $$.. microwave should be provided in every room.. 6 microwave for 75 rooms.. it's not rocket science.

Just returned from a two night 3 day stay at the hotel. There were 4 couples in our group. For some it was their first time and for 3 of us we had been there several times over the years. The rooms were comfortable enough, but the hotel needs updating that's for sure. Shannon and the takeout food from the kitchen was excellent and Julie at the front desk was very kind and accomadating. We chose not to buy the "Golf Package" this time as we wanted to play other courses in the area as well. There were two things that as a group found very maddening and as the Group Organizer extremely dissapointing. We played 18 holes there Wednesday morning which was our day of arrival. Checked in afterwards at 4pm. Ordered dinner as takeout from their restaurant and then we decided as a group we would like to play the third nine there that most had never seen. We went over to the pro shop at 7pm and there wasn't a car in the parking lot and no one in sight on the course. So we thought that's great we could get off right away. When we inquired about the price to play just the nine we were told it would be $22.50 for 9 holes walking and $37 riding. Now we only paid $24.50 for our first 18 hole 11:10 am tee time earlier that day so we thought this price was somewhat unreasonable and really made no sense. I requested to speak to the Manager to hopefully seek some relief on that price as we were afterall guests at the hotel ordering from their restaurant menu etc. As much as I would like to name him "Manager" here in this review I won't as a courtesy to him. When he arrived his demeanour was less than friendly and he would not grant us any relief whatsoever and continued to repeat himself with the fact that was their twilight rate and because we were not on "The Package" so he claimed he couldn't help us out any further. I tried to make the point we were 8 people willing to pay something more reasonable to go out and play. He didn't care that he was losing near $200 in green fees he refused to compromize even though there was not a soul around. With such poor customer service like that and quite frankly not very bright business practices either the only thing he did in that decision for the hotel unfortunately was alienate all of us and rest assured will not see any one of us return there again. What I can tell you was the other two courses we played Indian Hills on Thursday & Widder Station today were absolutely amazing and were so appreciative of our business. There are too many other fine courses and accomadations in the area to chose from and moving forward Forest Golf Course & Hotel will not be one of them. The second and although I know it's trivial issue we had was because of Covid their ice machines were out of order to the guests and if you wanted some ice you had to purchase it for $2.50 for a small bag from the kitchen. Again, not life shattering, but ridiculous just the same that as guests of their hotel we had to pay extra for ice which none of us have ever encountered or heard of before. At an already overpriced $145 per night for the mediocre at best hotel room we saw this clearly as nothing more than guest gouging. So there ends my rant for the day and sadly less than favourable memories of our stay there. Live & Learn I guess. However if you are looking for a fabulous place to eat Lizzy's in Thedford is a must do. They just put in a new amazing patio this spring and our meals, Lizzy herself the owner and our Server today Sasha were incredibly friendly, funny and customer orientated....

Just returned from a weekend with some friends (4 of us) couldn't have been happier with the weekend. Staff was friendly and did everything they could to make our stay a good experience. Food was GREAT. The course was on amazing condition. I'll be heading back there for sure. Shout out to Sam and Shelby for their great service on the patio.

We have eaten at Forest Golf in their lovely restaurant overlooking the course. We always enjoy our meals and the service is always good!
