P	Pauline Wong on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had an enjoyable stay here last fall. The staff were friendly and welcoming. While the Deluxe 2 Queens Room was spacious and clean, we found the lighting in our room a little dim. The pool and waterslide was a hit with the kids. We also got to enjoy the VLT lounge and a nice dinner at Sawmill, both conveniently attached to the hotel.
m	mikey pro on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is our go to place when we do a bike ride to Cold Lake. This has the "trifecta" that we prefer in our accommodations - bed, restaurant/bar, and liquor store. All on site. The rooms are very nice and clean. The restaurant/lounge is a Sawmill. The liquor store is at the other end of the building. Another bonus is that breakfast is free and it's a nice array. Totally recommend.

The not so good - if you choose the lower priced room, it's in the motel section. Up concrete stairs and down the outside hallway. Okay in the summer, but winter would not be nice. It will cost you an extra $10 to upgrade to in the hotel. They said no pets but there was a cat in the window of the one room. Maybe it's a long term rental? The television choices were awful. I normally don't even turn on the TV, but we wanted to find a movie. Nope. Two channels worked that we could find. Diners, drive ins and dives it was... All evening. The ac unit, which I set to 23 ran off and on all night, very loudly. Woke me up several times. The breakfast is a choice of toast, hashbrowns, or pancakes. A choice of bacon or sausage, and a choice of how you want your eggs. Coffee, tea, or juice. My fiance asked for juice and got a juice box. Seriously? Yep. This is served in the Sawmill restaurant, so they must have actual glasses. The eggs were barely cooked. It wasn't busy. Managed to get one coffee refill. Not a big breakfast with toast or hashbrowns. We chose this hotel (oops motel) for the included hot breakfast. Don't bother if you want a regular sized meal.

The hotel itself has a Sawmill restaurant in it. Staff is friendly and helpful and overall the building is clean and well maintained. Rooms are spacious and clean. Overall highly recommend staying here when passing through or staying Cold Lake.
