Flex Fitness is no longer the “New Kid on the Block”, now celebrating 10 years of professional and highly qualified personal training in Winnipeg.  Alistair Hopper, proprietor and lead trainer, studied Kinesiology at the University of Winnipeg.  In addition to his B.A. he has over 18 years of practical experience gained as the owner-operator/trainer of two local gyms. During this time he was able to establish himself and build a reputation as a dedicated training professional. As well, he was focused on creating a positive environment in his gyms that fosters a community approach and a welcoming atmosphere. When you join Flex Fitness gyms you are being welcomed into a family that will support you, laugh with you and encourage you to work hard.

When you are working with a fully certified and experienced trainer on a regular basis you will learn proper technique for various strength and core exercises. You will also benefit from the ideal cardiovascular routine for your specific needs. A trainer will be able to adapt exercises
depending on your experience level, any injuries (past or present),sport specific movements and to your specific long/short term goals.

By having that set appointment with a trainer, you are committed to the workout and are less likely to miss. Being active and fit is just like any other goal you may set in your professional or personal life. It takes commitment, consistency and hard work. A trainer will make you accountable and push you past your comfort levels while keeping you in safe parameters as to prevent injury.

YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT!

Many people also need help with their food plan and a trainer can help you focus on building good eating habits. Again, there needs to be commitment, consistency and hard work when working towards your food goals.  Just like your exercise goals.  The trainer will also hold you accountable by asking you on a daily to weekly basis how you are doing with your new food plan.  You may need more specific and tailored food plans, and a trainer will help you find a qualified dietician.

Remember any time you meet with a trainer, ask the questions you feel are important to your specific needs. This will ensure you achieve all of your health goals.

I absolutely recommend Flex Fitness to anyone looking for group training or personal training. All of the trainers are dedicated and will work hard to help you meet your fitness goals! I definitely saw results after training there! Alistair is very knowledgeable, has great work out plans that incorporate lots of compound exercises to get the most out of your training session and defiantly keeps you motivated during your workouts. I looked forward to my training with him and every work out pushed me harder and closer to my goals.

This gym is a gem in winnipeg. The trainers are the best I have come across. They focus entirely on you when you work out. They push you to get the results you want. They are the only gym which allows kids under 12 and they work with kids and are very patient. This is perfect for familes with kids. My family and myself are fitter and healthier because of the team at this gym. Thank you Flex!!!

Absoulety great environment. I worked with Alistair Hopper. Great knowledge of what needs to get done. Makes you feel extremely comfortable and very goal oriented. They are very flexible with hours to workout with. If for some reason they are away there is one of the other trainer's who are always there to take their place. I only worked out with Ryan Stewart twice but he will get you to your fitness goals without a doubt. Extremely knowledgeable and if willing he will push you to your goals and beyond. Highly recommended place to go, great staff and great workout atmosphere. Thanks for everything.

I did a lot of research before choosing to start at Flex Fitness, I wasn't disappointed. I have been training with Alistair for a few months and I find the energy upbeat and the attention to my workouts/form on point. There was a detailed consult done that included an injury history and dietary consult. Flex Fitness really takes a whole health approach which I love. If you have serious fitness goals, I highly recommend Flex.

Great Gym! Ryan is a very personable trainer, who works WITH you to reach your goals. Couldn’t be happier with the privacy of the place, often working out while it’s just you and your trainer.

I started with Alistair before Flex. I have been working out with him since 2008. I am currently also working out with Jessi and Sosa. All three are excellent and the are diverse enough so that I get a comprehensive fitness experience. I have had incredible results. I am the fittest I have ever been in my life. I highly recommend Flex Fitness to anyone of any fitness level.

I started at Flex Fitness almost a year ago and I have no regrets. The trainers are wonderful and the gym is loaded with different kinds of equipment and weights. I have trained with Jessi this past year. I couldn’t recommend her enough if you’re looking for someone who will motivate you and push you to your limits. She has gotten me to my goals and still pushes me to be better and better. She will always go out of her way to send me meal preps or extra workouts to do out of class. Whenever I feel like giving up she always makes me want to keep going. I not only have found a kind, fun, trainer at Flex but also a friend.
