I had a great experience with everyone working here, they're all extremely helpful and accommodating. The owner helped me out with a mistake I made, and didn't charge anything extra when he could have. Very honest and fair, I would definitely return in the future.

I've been shopping here for years! They have the best selection of designer frames, and the best service! Really knowledgeable staff that can advise not only on how the frame will look on you; but how the frame works for your particular prescription. Even when I moved out of the area - I still made the trip back whenever my glasses needed an update!

I purchased glasses from this location and because I wear contacts I couldn’t try them on in store properly. When I got home I noticed the logo (and almost the entire etching on one earpiece) was rubbed off and one lens was not pushed in all the way in the frame. I brought them back and I was told that anywhere you go you get the demo frames and that the logo was rubbed off because of the security tag. I called the other Famous Optical locations, and other eyeglass locations, and every place told me the same thing: they order new frames. Nowhere told me there was a 20% additional fee. When I said that the male said he can call them right now. I pulled out both phone numbers for him to call in front of me. He didn’t call. I was debating just letting it go until the girl said “let me ask you something, if you didn’t know these were Chanel glasses would you have known they were the same pair you tried on“ and when I said yes she gave a little laugh. I said of course I would know because I tried them on, I put them on my face and I took a picture. The man said he wants me to be happy so they will order the frames for no additional charge. But he did say the new glasses won’t say Chanel—the new glasses have Chanel etched right in. When I ordered in-store I had selected the second thinnest lenses. Once I got home I called and said I’d like to do the thinnest instead. In store the girl told me the price difference was $49. She even wrote it down when she was showing me the chart of how lens thinning works. When I went to pick up the glasses however, they wrote down $75. Almost 4 weeks later I went to pick up my glasses and a different girl was there who was very friendly. The man came out and said he will bag my glasses and was going to put it in a plastic bag, so I said no Chanel bag? He said “you already have one.” Mind you, I had given him the bag with the lens cleaner when I dropped off my glasses the first time. What reason would I have to keep a ten cent paper bag and lens cleaner for glasses I don’t have. He rolled his eyes, but I didn’t say anything. The girl put the glasses in a Chanel bag, but I did not get the lens cleaner. tl;dr Overall I would not recommend this place. I like the frames, that’s why I got them, but in all reality if I had known how the overall experience was going to be I would’ve taken the model number and gone somewhere else. One lens wasn’t pushed in showing lack of quality control and attention to detail. I also didn’t pay for demo frames—a demo/display model is still used. And I didn’t pay for eyerolling and attitude. My glasses were not cheap and I have no problem paying for quality or designer. What I have a problem with is giving my business to a place that is blatantly rude and unprofessional. There was always the option to give me back my $800. For convenience I was going to have all contact/glasses related purchases done there, but I’d rather support a business with honest practices and professional staff.

Our family has purchased 9 pairs of glasses over the past 3 years from Famous Optical Pickering with nothing but outstanding service and expertise. Don't be fooled by "promotions" with big box optical stores. You get what you pay for. Ask yourself "is it worth it to get the best product, care and service for your eyes?"

The best and only place I go for all my glasses needs, they have been helping me for over 5 years, especially Ramziah, she is very honest and ever so helpful, I’ve given her so much trouble and taken up so much of her time, but she patiently goes through all the styles with me and shows me what’s in. She is very knowledgeable and knows everything about glasses and styles. The owner is also very nice and helps customers out lowering prices especially when we are under financial constraints! I recommend them to everyone I know, and if you’re reading this, just walk inside the store and give them a try and you will see what I mean!!! ????✅

Huge selection of glasses from affordable to luxury name brand. They cost half as much as their competitors for the same quality and products. Service is amazing they are always open to helping with repairs and will spend time as much time as you need helping you select glasses. I find them very trustworthy and honest. I have been coming here for over 10 years and recommend them to everyone I know.
