Mariam (the owner) is extremely personable and has an excellent understanding of the trends and ability to make the best recommendations. And she does this with a lot of patience and a smile. Even after moving out of Durham, we keep making the drive back to Pickering Optical and Mariam for all our RX and sunglasses. Then I tried somewhere else and was not overly satisfied but had to stick with the glasses I had purchased and constantly had problems with. I wasn’t shy to come back to this location even though it’s a bit further to go. They were just as friendly as always, the price and quality was fair and they have a good selection that they assist you in choosing. They were very informative upon my return to pick up my glasses and they treated me like family. It’s really so nice to come back with a warm welcome as if I had never left. Within all this, I felt they were also doing their best to maintain Covid-19’s mandates as best as they were able. I highly recommend them!
