A	Amanda Lehmann on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst Fabutan I’ve been to. They bully you into buying lotion and won’t let you tan if you can’t tell them the exact date you bought your last lotion. Total money grab. Do not go here!
N	Nicole Martens on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had gotten a $15 coupon for a spray tan it said the value of the tan was $29, so that should mean the tan was $14. I had never gotten a spray tan like this before so I thought why not try it out, I booked it and went in. The receptionist was great and helpful but I went to pay before I did it and the total came up to $71 plus. I asked why, (I had added the sticky feet so I was expecting more than the $14) she said it's for the extras and I was wondering what the extras are. Apparently the $14 is just for the bottle of mix nothing else. I asked if I just got the basic nothing else and she said $50. Maybe I am out of loop having never used a spray machine but the advertisement for them says $29 so that's what I expected. Even on the website it says first time spray tan for $15. I walked out and didn't get anything done. Maybe it's my fault for not knowing how this works but it should be properly advertised so people know what they're getting into.
D	DJ Rossi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Terrible customer service. They force you to purchase their lotions and eyewear or they will not allow you to tan there. I ended up leaving because I was so fed up and upset with the bullying tactics. All I wanted to do was go for a tan that I already paid for (and relax). Way to make your customers feel welcome. Where is the guest experience???! I Get great service at other fabutan locations in the city. What went wrong here? This used to be my go to place but since new ownership the place is a dump. DON’T waste your time with this SCAM of a location.?
R	Robert Fraser on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Most ridiculous series of events. Spent 112 dollars. 2 people got 8 minutes of tanning. Their solution was to spend more money to fix their mistakes.
M	Manya Faria on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The policies at this Fabutan are not in line with what is posted on the Fabutan.com website nor is it the policy at other Fabutan locations. .. I came here for a tan on a Sunday because ny location is closed on Sundays... they told me that my eyeware and lotions needed to be up to date in order to tan there... fine, I have lotion I purchased at another tanning place which is fabulous but not close to my work so I use both depending on when I have time to tan. This 8th st location's policy is that you MUST purchase lotion from them in order to tan there... the lotion she recommended like the one I had was $80 which is 35$ more than I paid for mine... so I said I would not use lotion then since I have a full bottle... nope, she said their policy is that I can not tan there without purchasing a lotion... I could buy a single use lotion for $13 RIDICULOUS. Please, give your money to any other location and avoid this location!! Each Fabutan location is owned by a local person but they should be following the policies posted on the Fabutan.com website. This location has decided to gouge customers ... I think they just didn't want to serve me because I didn't buy the package from them... we didn't get onto eyeware but I think they would have told me that my eyeware is also expired... Do not reward poor policies and do not get fooled that this is normal!
b	brennan campbell on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unbelievable! I have a membership with another location which allows me to use any Fabutan in Canada. I had purchased an amazing tanning lotion that I’ve always used online as well as some high-end tanning goggles and came into this location and was told that they weren’t sufficient. I had to buy lotion and goggles from them in order to use their beds. Just so happened at the bottle I bought was on their shelf, and also from buying it online I saved $40. They could see the lotion and the goggles in my hand because I didn’t buy them from them they would not let me tan. I do not see anything on the Fabutan website that says anything about these rules. All they’re doing is trying to grab more money and it’s absolutely ridiculous shame on this location.
l	lisa on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went to the 8th street location to tan. Was told that I HAVE to buy lotion and Eyewear to use the beds, If I havent purchased in a year. They are forcing people to purchase things they don't need. Eyewear, I understand. But they shouldn't be forcing people to purchase lotion. It is not a mandatory item. I will not use this location ever. The owner plays by her own rules. Very disgusting actually. Especially since it is unethical as well.
S	Sonya Horner on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ tried to go tanning here, and was told that the lotion and eyewear I had were not allowed, and that i would have to purchase the very expensive lotion and eyewear from them only. Just trying to grab more money from customers. If they are going to update policy, they should call all exsisting customers and explain and offer them a refund. (which did not happen). Front desk staff was rude.
