Chatters Hair Salon - Saskatoon

The location itself was nice enough for being in a mall. However, my stylist was unprofessional. She did not introduce herself, and walked away for long period without saying anything. I booked my highlights online, and realize that's an estimated time (2.5 hours), but she took an hour and 45 minutes longer than that. She did not apologize, or give me a heads up that it will take so long. She then tried to charge me more than she said she would, and the cashier was also fine with her overcharging me. My hair turned out all right, but I cannot recommend this place.

UPDATE: I went there and got my hair cut by Lina. She was wonderful! Very thorough with everything she did. Might have been the best hair cut I have ever gotten! She was very professional as well. Definitely recommend Lina! I got my hair cut by Lenoard and he didn't seem to be very competent. I am going to need another haircut so that I actually don't have any split ends anymore. Also when he was cutting my hair he let all of the cuttings fall onto my head. That's not that big of a deal but was still annoying. I asked for three inches off and it seemed like he only took maybe one inch, if that.

Went in for a trim, I always have a short bob. First impression off the bat was great, they seem to get organized and have everything super cleanly. When I got to the chair however there was a bunch of white hairs all over the sink. This kinda makes me question what else they arent cleaning. Lady was very nice. Unfortunately she didnt seem super experienced, her long gel nails were tugging on my hair the whole time she was drying it. And them she did a terrible job putting a few curls in my hair(she didnt dry it enough either so it was steaming?). Over all wasnt super impressed. And it cost me 38 bucks plus a tip

After a bad experience from another Chatters location and since this one is really close to my house, I went to this place. Overall, this was one of the best services that I have ever got and I'm very happy with the result. Erin did a fantastic job! Even though this was my first time coming here, she's easy to talk to plus she knows how to do hair the right way. I'm definitely coming back for my monthly touch up.

Had a great experience with Emiley today! She was lovely to chat with & was a perfectionist with my undercut. I look forward to seeing her again.

I’ve never done anything even remotely crazy to my hair but I wanted to try subtle red highlights/Balyage and it turned out amazing. I love the ratio of brown to red and just overall love the colour. I am literally in love with myself. I didn’t catch the lady’s name but I will definitely be returning and would like to try different colours in the same style.

I cried because my hair was butchered. I had all one length hair and wanted a trim. She doesn't know how to give a shorter bob. I'm crying at how it was cut. It took me 3 yrs to make my bangs the same length as the rest of my hair. She chopped up my bangs unevenly. The back of my head was choppy not a smooth base. It needs to be fixed. Please help.

Emiley has done my hair twice now. Once on very short notice as the other salon I had booked in was unexpectedly closed due to their systems being down(no fault of their own of course :) things happen), and she did a small trim and style for me. Went in for a haircut with her in August 2021. She did awesome. I used to have a very very short hair for years as I struggled to keep it healthy and was losing a lot of it. Finally the last couple years my hair had started growing and was long. So I was very nervous about having more than just an inch taken. However, my hair was very dry, and dead. Dead hair doesn’t grow! She took 3 inches off, and my hair was so healthy looking and it bounced! I was excited. I wasn’t nervous anymore after seeing what a great job she did cutting it. She also French braided my hair after and it was so cute! My hair did grow quite a bit since then. One thing I dislike about some salons is they will thin out your beautiful, naturally thick hair. I have wavy/curly thick hair and I hate when it’s thinned out then I’m stuck with frizzy short pieces that stand up and don’t fit into braids or ponytails and spend months and months waiting for it to grow out normally again. She did not thin out my hair! ? She is super nice and does an amazing job. I’ve left salons before with hair cut way shorter than I wanted to, or my hair thinned out or not even. I have anxiety about getting haircuts and have trouble speaking up sometimes and get too nervous so I actually avoided haircuts for a while. But I don’t feel nervous with Emiley. Thank you for taking great care of my hair!
