So I've been teaching myself how to sew over the past few years and I've been experimenting with patterns, drafting my own, and using different fabrics. As a result, up until recently I was visiting this store once or twice a month for a few years. Today was the first time I've ever had a pleasant experience with someone at the cutting table. Her name was Barbara, and she was polite and pleasant. Literally every other time I have been here, the staff has been so condescending. I left today absolutely shocked that I had a nice person help me. Now I used to come in all the time. The last visit I had was so unpleasant that I resolved to stop shopping there altogether and make trips out of town for fabric or order online. I only popped in today on a whim to see what Christmas sales were on. I'm glad I did. Because Barbara was so nice, I may be back every once in a while. And all she did was be an actually friendly person to deal with. No snarky attitude, no talking down to me. It blew my mind.

Every time I come here the staff are very helpful and insightful. There is. Huge selection of fabrics for every kind of project. The biggest problem I face coming here is narrowing down my selection! The COVID protocols here require you wear a mask and direction of traffic is clearly marked out on the floor. Ensure you have a membership (and you have the card with you) when shopping here!

Shopped at this Fabricland for the first time and had a pleasant experience. The sales associate who cut my fabric, Jenna, was very friendly and helpful.

Third time I’ve tried to shop here in the last year now, every experience has been very poor. The staff are so unfriendly and almost seem to go out of their way to be rude and unhelpful. I ordered what I needed for a large upholstery project online instead of trying to go through the painful exercise of asking these people for assistance. The mandatory mask policy did not bother me at all and I’ve showed up each time wearing mine, this rudeness and unhelpful attitude has been with this store for quite a while.

Won't shop here again. Poor service and poor fabric knowledge. Couldn't point me to other local retailers or suggest another team member with more knowledge. The service member simply said, "I have no idea about this stuff, I wouldn't know anything about this". Then ask someone else, you work in a team of people.

Very grouchy staff. Will never go to any Fabricland store again as I find that grouchiness and poor service seems to be the company culture. I have been to their stores at various cities in BC and Alberta. All the same.

The workers were very rude and disrespectful.. I was patiently waiting in line, and the cashier Mary comes to the till and helps another customer that wasnt in line. I was bothered because I had been waiting. I heard them talk and had a conversation, and Mary asks her if she'd like a bag. When I walked up to the till, she didn't say a word to me, I stood there in silence, very awkward. She forgot to add my 50% off (I didn't see this till after) she gave me my receipt and said "can I have a bag?" She then says "we don't carry bags" then points to the sign on the counter "I heard you ask that lady for a bag though?" "Hers were small items" I replied "because mine aren't small items I don't get asked for a bag?" I grab my stuff and leave and while I'm.walking away she starts telling me "for future we don't carry bags in store" I was racially profiled.

The staff were very helpful. I got to make my wedding dress from the materials here. When I got materials for my flower girls they helped me figure out how many meters I needed. When I used half the pattern I bought there I made it exactly enough for both flower girls. And I got more than enough material for my bridesmaids! Everything I made was based on ribbon skirts and my native heritage. They mentioned the discount was cheaper to get that day and saved me 50% my whole bulk purchase in materials. My membership also saved me for trim that I had to get to add to the men's dress shirts. The wedding was beautiful. Thank you for your help fabric land. You helped make my wedding beautiful and wonderful experience ?
