The student hotel that calls itself a housing place. Worst 1 year of my life. Please read everything, in case you are thinking of living here. Like my friends who visited the place called it a fancy prison, from the outside it looks nice/alright, but once you enter the rooms you realize that the original architecture is altered to make the room half the size (the photos on the website are made with from the wall with a low mm lens, aka illusion), PLUS add another human to live with you. Windows don't open, no fresh air, air conditioning notice all day (or turn it off to suffocate, your choice), also to add, the super super low quality air made me wake up every day with a nosebleed, before living at evo and after living there, it stopped. The bathroom is probably the biggest space to be able to stretch out (which is sad), every bathroom has yellow white mold like bubbles growing from the ceiling (have lived in two different rooms and visited people), staff says it is the paint that creates it (maybe fix it and make sure there is actual airflow in the bathroom?). And to finish it off, there is a expensive restaurant ON TOP of where everyone lives. You get a special keycard at the entrance, to put it in the elevator and be able to reach the top floor. Everyone is over paying by at least 400-500 dollar for what you get. And then to have the rich dine on top of you, ironic. Staff can enter your room ANYTIME. Only heard about it entering the reception for the first time and yes its written in your contract. They like to check the place out whenever. My roommate moved out and a week later half of my items where missing. A staff member came stole items. I noted this to the reception and security, and apparently the security guard knew what happened and did NOTHING, only trying to hide that this happened to his super and in the end all the sudden he came to my door with items saying that they found it. Only thing I got was a ''sorry''. This place is no home nor is safe to live in. Everyone pays a ''special'' price. they ask where you are from and proof of how much money you have/make, so they make a special price. I'm from west Europe and payed top price (finding out by talking to other residents). Never take the shared room, there is not space at all. Everyone at evo has problems with their shared roommates they got assigned, hmm I wonder why when you live 1 meter apart all day. Ow the beds, they are next to each other (literally) with a 2 cm cardboard/wood panel in between. You hear, everything. Kitchen is alright, except party's happen all the time, people screaming around 2-3 am in the hallways. Security always has stop them as if they are babysitting. Only 1 stovetop (place for 4 pans) that almost always is occupied by one person, imagine 30 rooms on one floor having to share that around 6-7 pm. No one uses the pool, its special to see one person using it. Ow and btw, if you use the elevator, you can see someone swimming in the pool :) like underwater. Because someone thought it was a good idea to put a glass side on where the elevator passes to see students swimming. Not going to start about the s x stories of people just doing it in front of others around the pool, in the kitchen, studyroom. I wish I took a actual hotel or airbnb to search in montreal for a normal apartment. Like everyone in the same position then as me said. Everyone. Most people live here as a last minute solution (this is not a solution), to then asap move out. Im typing this whole thing out just to save at least one person from living here!!! Imagine why you are not able to pay for a few days or a week to stay at evo, hmmmm maybe because everyone would run for the hills to find another place. I can say more about this place, but I think my point so far is made.

I had an amazing time at a banquet here. The food was perfect and they gave us bottles and bottles of wine. The waiters were super helpful and listened to any requests that my table had. I would love to come back here for another event one day.

This place is Seriously my home in Mtl ! I came to Montreal 5 years ago as a refugee, stayed in Evo more than 4 years I loved this place ! Management are friendly and they care about each tenant and their needs ( they check on me and how am i doing when i am away or feel sick ! ). I am alone in canada, been away from my family for more than 5 years but i felt like i have a family in Evo . I usually very critical on google reviews and google take my reviews seriously as am very known artist and you can google name too but my experience in Evo is 95% awesome! Its a place to meet kind and friendly ppl Make connections. Very secured as the security team are very professional and they know every single person in the building! The front desk are so friendly, with a lovely smile and soft talking , greeting . The Gym is the best in Mtl as a private building! I built a great body and preparing to compete soon this year. Pool is crystal clean ! Library is the right place to work or study. I will always go back to Evo when am in Mtl . Thanks Evo team keep it up. Amjad Wardeh

Honestly the management is super cooperative and understanding. Whatever you need they will find a way to meet your needs. They are tolerable, professional and kind. The management made my stay x100 better. The place is also super luxurious! EVERYTHING YOU MIGHT POSSIBLY NEED IS WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE. The location is so convenient.

Portus 360 Restaurant is at EVO building on the top 2 floors. Special dedicated elevator to the revolving Portuguese restaurant. Excellent food and service. Wonderful views. I am a regular customer.

Great location. You can get to the old port and centre ville in just a few minutes walking. The building has good spaces but the shared kitchens tend to be really dirty. Staff at the desk are not particularly nice or helpful. Honestly it is good for first timers at Montreal but you can get a nice place at a way lower price.

The security in this building is horrible, they locked me out of my room multiple times, I came home at 2am and they wouldn’t let me in, the elevators constantly break, fire department had to rescue someone, it is not safe at all, homeless people sleep in the lobby, fire alarm went off as a false alarm and no one called the fire department! Absolutely not worth your money
