★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When your car is thirsty, hocking esso has a tasty 89 octane. It reminds me of my childhood years. It's a retro 89 flavor with a new school look. Their 94 pairs well with a bag of sour cream chips and an oh Henry.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gurjeet was awesome. I needed propane and so did 3 other people. He was all by himself and managed to get us and everyone else who needed gas and into the store taken care of. Well done, give this guy a raise!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My wife's Visa card and my Visa card would not work at the pump, but later did. Go figure. Speed pass didn't work either. Staff member attended pump and then the card worked when they did nothing at all. It's not as if I'm new to this game, he simply put in the card and it should work. I got a hand to the staff member they did attend fairly quickly even though they were busy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's not open 24 hours. i went there at 4:30 and waited there till 5:30 and they were closed the whole time. i usually go there to buy my cigars and i usually spend a few hundred dollars there every month. 99 percent of the workers are great, the store hours is the only thing that bothered me. other than that its a good little corner gas station store and they have grab'n'go snacks and a little bit of everything! i recommend going there. just call them first to see if they are open in mornings, wouldn't want to waste time going there to find out they are closed like i did. but yeah, good little store and friendly workers :)

-The Esso on hocking is now a CANCO company, great staff workers, very friendly, they ordered me my cigars and they got them in right away! Very happy with the new service! Sad to see the Esso is gone but I am Glad to see the new positive changes. I completely recommend CANCO. So happy to see someone is taking care of that old-new gas station

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Didn’t get the attendant’s name, but he was marvellous. Both 30lb cylinders registered empty tonight, mercy, our first night camping at Cultus Lake with temps threatening to drop to minus 3 into the morning, it was either driving back to Vancouver immediately or finding locations that traded or filled 30lb cylinders. Esso, at 45736 Yale Road did, he made me say it twice, now I’ll never forget, so very grateful, marriage saved for now, and baby off to sleep in a warm trailer. Thanks Esso, you guys are real life savers
