I had the pleasure of training at Engineered Bodies (EB) for around 1.5 years while living in Port moody. I join during the start of the COVID pandemic when gyms were finally re-opened. I wanted to workout in a safe environment and EB was able to provide this with good safety processes, constant cleaning, as well as each person had their own workout space with their own rack, barbells, plates and kettle bells. Everything you needed is in your space distanced from others working out. Also they have bay doors on both sides so the air is always fresh. This is a great place to go for rookies, intermediate and advance lifters to improve strength, mobility and technique. I primarily went to functional Fitness classes where I was coached on a wide range of movements that included olyimpic and power lifts as well as higher rep movements like kettle bells, rowing, skipping etc. Before EB I thought from years of lifting on my own that I knew what was doing. I quickly learned I didn't know as much as I thought and I had some major mobility issues. When I first started EB I had difficulty getting low on a squat and then when I tried my first clean and first snatch I had alot of difficulty getting into the correct positions. The coaches were able to help me through mobility movements and kept my ego in check by keeping the weight reasonable until I improved mobility and technique. Now I can confidently do these lifts. All classes were booked through an app and all our pre planned workouts were also on an app where we could track our progress. This helped me plan out my week to balance family/work and getting in 3-4 classes a week. The community of this gym is what sets it apart. It's family run, and this gym is for the whole family with the youth program. All members are there to work hard but it's not competative like cross fits gyms. The enviroment is positive, inviting and the highly experienced coaches provided encouragement to keep everyone motivated and challenged. I highly recommend this gym if you want to take your health and fitness to the next level.

I joined EB 5 years ago at age 57 to learn CrossFit. Anthony did a mobility assessment and I started a beginner course.I loved it and later branched off to powerlifting, olympic lifting and functional fitness. There has always been qualified, skilled coaches, to help me reach my goals. My confidence and strength has increased.The culture is diverse and inclusive. Currently I am working on a custom program and there are many classes every day. Covid protocols are always current and communicated. Very well organized. I feel very safe. The gym is involved in fundraiser events to give back to the community. This is my healthy aging plan.

I am currently on my second three-month stretch of online training with Anthony/Engineered Bodies. I first learned about Engineered Bodies because they were the first to host a workshop in North America by Ido Portal’s team after he became more widely known. I really enjoyed that workshop and what I learned about Engineered Bodies at that time, and I returned for a second workshop there. Fast forward a number of years, through which I would see things on and off about Engineered Bodies on social media, all of which I thought impressive. Coach Anthony’s dedication to his clients, to learning, and to growing a better community were obvious, as was his extensive experience coaching. I had been programming workouts for myself, but I was dealing with a nagging and persistent knee issue that had been interfering with doing the things I enjoy. I knew that Anthony had experience here, including rehabbing his own knee. In addition to that, I started seeing positive results from walking backwards (inspired by one of Anthony’s mentors) but wasn’t sure how to build on those results. So, I contacted Anthony for online personal coaching. With a pretty well-equipped home gym and a fairly long history of training, it was easy for me to implement Anthony’s programming. I’ve enjoyed the programming that I have received and have seen great improvements. The app used to deliver the programming (TrainHeroic) feels superior to another one I have used previously and is very easy to use. There is usually a video accompanying each prescribed exercise. The ones that Anthony made are great, short enough (max 1 minute) to be able to revisit them each time if needed, but with all the relevant information and cues. It has been easy to be in touch with Anthony through video feedback and quick questions, for which Instagram messages proved the most direct line. I believe that the initial Zoom assessment and later Zoom follow ups have been helpful for getting the most out of the whole online coaching process. I’ve learned something every time we’ve met for one of these. Thanks to Anthony’s patient but progressive programming, my knee no longer is a constant source of frustration and limitation. In fact, I’ve had many days now where I don’t think about it at all, the best sign of success in rehabbing an injury that I can think of. I have also discovered some weaknesses and some not knee-related exercises through the online coaching that I am excited to use for a long time, and I look forward to seeing what further cycles of programming will bring.

My son has been a member of the weightlifting club at Engineering Bodies for a couple years. He recommended me joining the program after seeing proven results from other members to reduce knee and back pain. I haven’t very little experience in gym training before, not knowing if I am able to do any weightlifting at all. This custom program has a wide variety of exercises, so I don’t get bored. The targeted exercises really help improve my whole-body strength and mobility a lot. I am very surprised to get the amazing result at the end of the 3- months program. I only started from 28 kg and now maxing out at 86 kg on the deadlift, 1.7 times of my body weight! My coach Anthony is very professional and supportive, always encouraging me to push for higher limits. The gym environment is very well organised and clean. Sometimes we can also do exercises outside to have some fresh air, I feel safe during this COVID time.

I joined engineered bodies after I saw some great reviews online. I had some experience at other gyms, but I wanted a more technical approach to learning the Olympic lifts. I noticed that the coaches at engineered bodies had a tremendous amount of experience in teaching Olympic lifts. In just a few months I was able to improve all my lifts in a safe and effective manner (added several kilograms to each lift). I would recommend engineered bodies to anyone that is looking to improve themselves.

I joined Engineered Bodies (EB) in the spring of 2021. My goal was to gain strength after months of inactivity due to Covid-19. I met Anthony (EB owner and coach) for an initial assessment, I felt immediately welcomed to the EB family. I remember Anthony telling me that in 3 months of following his customized program, I would see positive results. He was right! I feel stronger than ever. The coaches are friendly, encouraging and supportive. The EB community is diverse, very friendly and non judgmental. I highly recommend to join the EB family, you won’t regret it!!!

I've been a member of Engineered Bodies for 6 months. In that time I have benefited from the bespoke programming and holistic approach to physical wellness that Engineered Bodies provides. Whether your goal is to improve mobility, strength, endurance or even learn Olympic weightlifting, Engineered bodies will provide you with the platform and support to attain your goal.The coaches are incredibly proficient, knowledgeable and dedicated to helping members achieve their fitness aspirations. The facility is top class, and members enjoy their own personal space to exercise with each workout section loaded with all of the equipment one would need. I have been lifting for almost 15 years, and it wasn't until I joined Engineered Bodies that I fully appreciated what can be accomplished with the right coaches.

I did online coaching with Anthony to help improve my Olympic lifting technique, and after 3 months, the progress has been amazing. A stand out for me is how my body awareness with each lift was suddenly turned on. The online coaching was done through the App TrainHeroic and it was so easy to use. I received my weekly programming in advance (which I LOVE), and uploading my videos is quite simple. And Anthony would give me feedback (via the App) on my training in a timely manner, which was always insightful and helpful. I would highly recommend Engineered Bodies Strength & Conditioning for anyone looking online coaching for any type of training. Anthony is one of the best Athletic Trainers in the business!
