This small shop offers good coffee, small variety but excellent pastries. I enjoy taking a break here during my walk on the Arbutus Greenway.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stood in line for minutes waiting while barista was saw me but kept talking and laughing with another customer. Went back up in line to ask for WIFI to find out there was none.
Again, I waited while the baristas were done giggling at whatever story they were telling. It’s pretty rude/ignorant to keep customers waiting for whenever it’s convenient for them.
Drink took fairly long to make and it tasted like flavoured almond milk. I won’t be back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This little hidden gem is in a neet location, with lots of trees and shade. It's not exactly the most scenic, so I wouldn't necessarily recommend it if you're looking for a place with great atmosphere. But if you're in the area and looking for a fantastic cup of coffee, look not further. While Beaucoup bakery just down the street offers plenty of phenomenol baked goods, Elysian is really the place to go for your coffee (they do sell some delicious treats as well).
The baristas here know what they are doing. You can expect a really good coffee, regardless of what you order. My go-to in a cappuccino, and they always nail it. One of the baristas is also an artist, who can make beautiful foam swans!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went in today at around 3pm and I didn't enjoy my experience. The staff weren't making any effort to be friendly and the atmosphere wasn't that special. There's so many options for cafes in Van, I would just skip over this one.
I could tell that the coffee itself tasted good but the way it was prepared didn't do it justice and added up to a disappointing iced latte. I noticed that iced lattes where on the menu so I expected there would thought put into it. But it was served in a cheap glass and was watery and not well balanced.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’m mostly familiar with their downtown location but stopped at Fifth/Burrard to get some work done prior to a meeting around the corner. Downtown location is opposite St Paul’s which can make it a bit hectic.
Very cute spot, great coffee, had a very enjoyable friand.
The thing I liked most about my visit was the very friendly personable staff - really good energy and service from the barista wearing a Namibia sweater.
