★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Tandoori Chicken Panini was good and very reasonably priced. Seems like a good place for lunch or snacks as there are a lot of different options available.
Had a chance to try the Pesto Chicken Panini recently and quite enjoyed it. I would put this as my top recommendation.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I discovered this cafe last week, and enjoyed it so much I've visited two more times since. Their food (so far I've tried a breakfast bagel, wrap, and a smoothie) is delicious and very reasonably priced. I was excited to see their 'red espresso' menu of rooibos-based drinks. I can't have caffeine at the moment and it's incredibly hard to find good decaf drinks!! I'll be a new regular here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My favourite local cafe in Kitsilano. It's nice to have somewhere to go with familiar faces. Ranu, one of the owners, is always there and she is so nice. I highly recommend trying lunch or a smoothie! I always go for the mocha!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The first time I tried this cafe I had an unpleasant encounter with the lady behind the counter. I decided to give it a try a second time, the same lady was once again incredibly rude, stand-off ish and blunt. I’m not sure she’s aware she comes across this way. I wanted to be wrong about my first experience, but sadly not. The 2 stars are for the tea and the food.
I hate to give my money to a Starbucks over an independent, but their service seems great every time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pane from heaven is my go to coffee shop in kits! The owners are kind, and always up for great conversation. They have such a wide selection of fresh baked goods, lunch wraps, bowls, smoothies, and they make the best espressos'! They also support local artists by hanging a different artists work every couple weeks, from abstract to oil paintings, landscape photography to wood carvings! I highly recommend grabbing a beverage & snack here before going for a walk along kits beach.

I also had the cheese scone - it was good, but needed a bit more flavour or salt, was a bit bland - could have been so much better as the cheese rationsnd texture were great. Overall, great atmosphere and staff, will be back to try something else.
