C	Colleen on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Want to say a BIG THANK YOU to the Elk Ridge Resort for offering the TEACHER deal during March and April!! We loved our little get away and we sure hope you will offer that again. Our time at Elkridge had the perfect mix of relaxation, outdoor activity, good food and drinks. Our rooms were excellent with a very comfy bed. The staff was AMAZING…so helpful and accommodating. My only complaint would be that the hot tub was scummy and was not at all hot.

It’s great to see some upgrades on the cabins, the are always cozy and have all we need. There are so many activities to enjoy with our children, skiing, skating, snow shoeing, curling, tubing, crokicurl, and swimming when the weather doesn’t cooperate. We will continue to visit every winter.

G	Grant Penner on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Thanks for the beautiful winter wonderland. We had a nice time in the four bedroom cabin. We were 8 adults and 4 preschoolers. Worked great. All could always have hot showers! BRING your own drinking WATER if you want good coffee for breakfast though. The cabin was clean and well maintained. The people were all so friendly. Thanks again Elk Ridge.
T	Tim Sands on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We heard that the Wyld restaurant was good so my wife and I drove from Emma to check it out. My daughter was right, the restaurant was much improved. You will pay a little more. But it is worth it. The experience, the quality of food, quality of service. Very impressed. Menu was very good and they have specials every day of the week. I had the Hamburger Pizza. Wow was it good. You could tell that the chef was making the food the heart and not from a box. My wife and agreed we would go back there again. Great job, overall guys.
K	Kirsten Bruch on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Loved all the activities available. Skiing, snowshoeing, skating, crokicurl, curling.and the exciting (not just for kids) tube hill. All rentals included and easy to access. We stayed in a cabin which was great except that a living room chair and a kitchen chair were wobbly. There were not enough hangars and not one place to hang a towel in a cabin that sleeps 8 or 10. Loved the lights in the trees and the general feel of the grounds. Very friendly. We will be back!

So we were upgraded to a cottage which was lovely! The deer walked right by our front steps, beautiful views just outside. We couldn’t get the wifi working and neither could hotel staff, which was probably just a nice reminder to go outside. The cottage was clean, roomy, and had a ready to use kitchen. The coffee pot was cracked, the dishwasher had seen better days, and all the knives had loose handles, so my only suggestion would be updating these pieces periodically. Otherwise we loved our stay, the staff were all incredibly friendly, we’ll be back.

Although we were fine, if it was a busy weekend I could see them running out of skis, snowshoes, etc. extremely fast. Pool was nice, but hot tub was very scummy and barely a warm bath temp. The change rooms were tidy, but very dirty. The rooms were nice and clean, but they don't change towels or top up coffee, etc. When I asked they said they only provide that service every 3rd day of a stay. However, the housekeeping staff was very friendly and gave me everything I asked for. All the outdoor stuff was great. A nice finishing touch would have been if there was a warm beverage area in the lobby for when you come in. Even some of the cheap hotels offer coffee, hot chocolate, etc. In the lobby, I thought a winter resort also would. Over all, the staff was very nice and the restaurant/lounge was good. We got a 50% off deal on the stay and for that price I was satisfied. I would have been very disappointed if we would have had to pay full price though.
