Honestly I was in love with this place when I first went, the atmosphere is great and Grace was AMAZING. I unfortunately couldn’t book in with her for my next trim but Arnie did an excellent job and did my roots. Overall was still impressed. I booked with Grace for my next all over hair colour and cut but unfortunately she was actually away for the date I pre-booked. So I rescheduled to be with Arnie since they were great last time also! But unfortunately on the date of my 5pm appointment I was called at 1230 and asked to come at 130pm or to reschedule. Due to being in the middle of my work day I could not make it and was told to come at 4 after I stated I needed it done since this would be the 2nd time rescheduling if they cancelled me. When I arrived at 4 I was greeted by someone who didn’t introduce themselves and I still had not been told Arnie would not be doing my hair. After asking the person said their name is Negar. I had to explain what I was getting done and said I want the same colour that’s on my file that grace put on there. I told her 3 times and she still brought out the colour swatches even though I told her I am happy with what I had before. After that she told me I NEED a haircut which I had already said I need a slight trim and don’t love haircuts. When she applied the die she didn’t brush my hair first and instead put the dye in and then attempted to brush my hair which was extremely painful and likely damaging. The rest of the service was ok until she was washing my hair and I did not get a scalp massage but instead was sitting in the sink for 30 minutes. She never told me why but I was waiting forever. Then when she did my trim I reminded her I don’t want barely anything taken off because I hate haircuts and just want the slightest bit taken off. She said “don’t worry I’ll show you first”. Next thing I know she cuts a price of my hair and then shows me the cut piece and asks if that’s ok!?. I was so upset because she cut it already. Didn’t hold it up first. It was more than I wanted but I said it was fine because it was minimal. The “layers” she gave me are so uneven and look awful. And when I got home I found my roots to be a different colour all together. I am disgusted by this and I spent $250 on this. I left a review with them first since they emailed asking for my feedback but no one reached out so I would say the customer service is also lacking. Again, nothing against Grace and Arnie, they were AMAZING, and if this review was about them it would be 10 stars. But unfortunately due to my whole experience and Negar’s terrible service I will never be returning or recommending this place whereas before I told many friends about it. I never write reviews like this but I don’t want someone else to have to deal with it too.

Just had my first appointment here and loved every bit of my experience with Negar. The service was great, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the ambience was very pretty and elegant. I had gotten an unfortunate hair color from another establishment and Negar spent the time fixing every detail of my hair until it was perfect. She’s so skilled and so sweet. Highly recommend! Thank you Negar ❤️

Brooke has been my stylist for 7+ years. She is absolutely incredible with colour - especially with blondes! I love her warm disposition and easy conversation. If you are looking for a top colourist, Brooke is your girl!

Brooke has been my hair stylist for 6+ years and I've followed her from downtown Vancouver to éliane's Lonsdale because she is passionate about creating the perfect look for you and is warm and friendly. A talented colorist, she loves taking on challenges like when I came up with a rose gold balayage request, or a silver/purple one. I would recommend Brooke in a heartbeat.

I’ve been getting my hair cut and coloured here by Grace for over a year now and she’s amazing!! You can definitely trust that she’ll understand your hair’s natural texture and curl and know exactly how to cut it so that it dries looking good even when you don’t have time to style it yourself. she always somehow makes sure the cut and colour will grow out looking great, blended, and as fresh as it can until your next visit. She’s also just a lovely gem of a human being. could never see anyone else!!

I’ve been getting my hair cut and scalp treatment from Maria for at least a couple of years and she is top notch quality. I’ve thick hair and for many years other stylist not knowing how to cut my hair which can be very frustrating when it comes to styling it at home. When I booked my first appointment with Maria I was hooked. I’ve been looking for the right stylist my whole life and luckily I found everything I could possibly want in a stylist and so much more. Maria listens to what your looking for, offer suggestions, gives me product advice but is never pushy about it. I always leave with my hair looking beautiful and my scalp feels calm and way less irritated. Seriously I can’t rave enough about how amazing she is and I would HIGHLY recommend her!

Brooke is the BEST hairdresser I have ever been to. I have been going to her for many years now, and she always gives me a great cut and colour. Her friendly, upbeat attitude puts you at ease immediately. She is very talented and gives excellent advise when you want it. Eliane’s is a nice, clean salon with free parking and a short walk to the sea bus. If you are looking for a hairdresser, you will be very happy if you choose Brooke.

I met Brooke many years ago when I wanted to find a hairdresser who was creative and willing to take colour chances. I've come to her with various cut and colour ideas, which she always considers with an honest and open mind. Most importantly, she considers the overall health and maintenance of my hair. The end result is awesome and more manageable than what I had started with. Brooke is easy going, friendly and knowledgeable with a bold vision. The salon is clean and well maintained in a bright, open space with nice staff. You (and your hair!) deserve an appointment with Brooke at Eliane's.
