During my time at Guelph I was leasing from here. Due to unliveable conditions occurring with my roommates I made the decision to move out. On multiple multiple occasions I had reached out to the landlords and property managers for help to assist myself getting a sublet or off my lease considering my health and safety were at risk. The landlords were absolutely no help and did not care for my situation what so ever. I was left to pay the rest of the 6 months rent as they would not allow me to leave the lease. I strongly consider future students to take this into consideration when leasing with Edinburgh Village as you never know what living circumstances you may end up with while living with roommates. I recommend looking for a company that can be an aid to you in situations of emergency and hope no one has to endure the process I had to. Especially as a student paying rent can be very costly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I lived here for a year while I attended the University. Overall it's a fantastic spot that's close to a lot of amenities and just a stone's throw from campus. Property management was fairly responsive, but I'm not sure if this has changed since I left. Overall I would highly recommend living here if you're interested in what is effectively off-campus residence.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Living at Edinburgh Villages for the past 3 years has been absolutely amazing! The units are very clean, the kitchens are huge, and the rooms are very spacious. It is extremely conveniently located close to the University, the biggest mall in Guelph, and various grocery stores, restaurants, gas stations, are pretty much anything you could need. The landlords have great communication and make everyone feel safe and welcome. It's pretty hard to come across a better package than this!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unfortunately my time at Chancellors way was ruined by the head landlord Phil. Although I had some great memories there that guy sucked. He charged my roommates and I over 5000$ dollars worth of fees at the end of the year. Now we did not damage the property or anything close to that. For instance one of my roommates left a mattress there by mistake and that was 500$ for the removal. We were sent an invoice/letter claiming that if we do not pay these fees we will be summoned to court. We didn't buy into these scare tactics as we know our rights. Ended up not paying a dime and didn't hear from anyone. I advise that if you are planning to live here you understand what your getting into. Its been a common theme for them to charge students these ridiculous fees knowing that the students will pay because they are worried or scared. Lesson learned.
