I don't understand how this hotel has so many good reviews, though maybe our luck was just awful and we got a bad room. They have the worst hotel beds I have EVER slept on (extremely hard and the pillows are not supportive whatsoever, just flat and floppy), so uncomfortable we could barely sleep and were very sore next day. The bathroom was not cleaned properly (wet, dirty towels left in the bathtub). The room was flooded with light despite the blackout blinds because there was a VERY bright light right outside our window and we were in a room right beside the lobby so we could hear people checking in, people getting ice, etc (room not at all soundproof). I knew we wouldn't get anything fancy considering it was cheaper and literally called "Econo" lodge, but I expected it to at least be clean and not massively uncomfortable. I will say that the staff were GREAT, they were very nice and sympathetic when we told them what happened, and they rectified the cleaning problem as soon as we told them, but overall it was just an unpleasant experience.

2021-July 30. What a pleasant surprise. This Hotel is clean and well maintained, the cleaning staff had completed getting all of the rooms ready by the time I checked in (late afternoon) ... during a recent trip between Ontario and BC I stayed at 15 different Hotels over a 21 day period. All advertised a free Hot Breakfast, only 3 actually provided it, this Hotel was one of those 3! The nightly rate for this Hotel is among the lowest of all the places that I stayed during these 21 days, but the service and quality of the facilities and amenities that are useful to me is near the best of the entire trip. If you are going to stay in Hinton, Alberta this is the Hotel that I believe is the best price and likely the best experience as well. It is definitely greatly superior to the Quality Inn in the same city.

Pretty reasonable rate, great room, hotel needs a bit upgraded, getting to be dated, great reception staff. Not bad of a room.

I love the jet tub but then after it dried overnight there was like a weird like stuff from the pipes is stuck on the on the tub it was gross and I didn't have any cleaner so I couldn't have another bath.

The front desk only had one lady receiving people and checking in was pretty slow. The elevator has been out of order for a week (June 3 2022), so it's pretty annoying if you get a room on the second or third floors. The room we got on the second floor was extremely warm (79F), it seems like the thermostat is broken and the vents are constantly on. The air conditioning is old, loud and lets pollen in and my boyfriend is allergic to pollen so that was pretty bad. The kitchenette that they advertise is a microwave, a small coffee machine and a small fridge, there's no actual plates, cutlery or anywhere you can actually cook. The breakfast service is pretty good, they offer fruits, waffles, sausage, omelet, bread, bagels, coffee, tea, oj, water. Not sure if they offer any celiacs or gluten free options for the bakery stuff.

We stayed here for 5 nights, I was pleasantly surprised on the size of the room 4 ppl in a 2 queen size room, the room was functional, check in and check out was quick, staff was attentive to our needs, breakfast is the same everyday but it's good enough, pillows and the bed was firm and comfortable ( preferrence) we slept good, we didn't hear any noise. This is econo lodge not Hilton hotel but still pretty good, the only negative I would say is the elevator was out 4 days out of the 5 days, luckily we were staying at the 2nd floor. Location is really good, very close to all the restaurants you would want.

DEBBIE HAS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS AND is NOT OPEN TO ANY QUERIES A GUEST HAS multiple times giving a deaf ear and doesn’t respond to us Or she is not inclusive of all ethnicities ? We were guests here in the past earlier months and had amazing service from 2 ladies who were Philipina that were highly professional and had common courtesy and very approachable . Debbie also had a dog she brought to work that I was scared of and I’m very allergic as it sheds . Poor dog has no fault in this fyi only Debbie !! The hotel itself is amazing with Five Stars and there hot breakfast is very good and rooms very clean and some that were dog friendly as well.
