β β β β β I have been coming to this gym for a long time, the owner Stephen is extremely knowledgeable. Everyone who trains at this gym all train as a team to help each other improve. The atmosphere is amazing, this gym will teach you more then just self defence. Come in and watch a class or talk to Stephen and you will see.

β β β β β I have been training at dragonβs den/ ocean city boxing (held in the same vicinity) for five and a half years. Not only have I gained a forever family, but I have also received top notch training that pushes you to your limits. Stephen Lapre has been immersed in martial arts for over 50 years. He is an official coach, judge and referee for Boxing BC as well. Since joining at age 12 rearing 13, Stephen has turned me into a decorated champion. He has helped me to obtain many titles. The 2018 Canadian youth boxing gold medalist, 2019 Canadian youth boxing silver medalist, 2018/19 BC provincial champion, a kickboxing tournament champion. Along with many medals in BJJ. And a level one Eskrima practitioner. The BJJ program is under the banner of Carlos Machado, that offers a weekly training regime for maximum performance. My ultimate goal is to fight professionally in mixed martial arts, and he is the one that can get me there with his endless amount of knowledge and different philosophies on the fight game. Now im training to be a competitor in muay thai and mma and more confident than i ever have been. β β β β β dragons den Elite mma is by far the best place to be trained in Canada. The coach is professional and knowledgeable. The gym is clean and and regularly sanitized. And the location is easily accessible. If you want to train in any capacity this is the place to do it

β β β β β Steve and Michelin run the most inclusive and fun workout gym I have ever attended.
It really feels like you're working out with friends and family when you are there. I'm a working professional who attends the amateur boxing class and I have a great time every time.
You get an awesome workout and get to learn the fundamentals of a new sport. I highly recommend, to anybody who is interested, to just stop in and watch a class or two in the evening. You'll get hooked!!

β β β β β From the moment I had my initial interview with Coach Stephen Lapre I knew I had come to the right place. With classes covering a multitude of combat ranges, Coach Lapre is able to provide top notch instruction in many areas. Not only have I found that he is incredibly knowledgeable, I've found that his philosophy surrounding combat sports, martial arts and overall health and fitness is refreshing and realistic. The Dragon's Den is a perfect place for anyone who's looking to practice boxing, kickboxing, jiu jitsu or eskrima at a beginner's level all the way to a competition level.
When I first joined the Dragon's Den 3 years ago I had a very limited knowledge of kickboxing and jiu jitsu from almost a decade prior. Coach Lapre helped me refresh my foundational knowledge while he built up my lost physical fitness and re-ignited my passion for martial arts then proceeded to impart a plethora of new knowledge to me for which I couldn't be more grateful. He took the time to have not only myself but a few other individuals certified as coaches through Boxing BC and has raised not only a successful competition team, he's raised a successful coaching staff of which I am proud to be a part of. Coach Stephen Lapre and his wife, Michelyne Lapre, are two of the most caring people I've ever met and I feel like I've gained a whole new family through the bonds I've forged in this gym.

β β β β β My family has been coming to Dragon's Den for years, and we love it. Steven is a great coach that continually pushes you to be the best version of yourself. These classes are no joke, so be prepared to put in 150% of your effort in and learn. It's a great place to learn about combat sports and self-defense.
