β β β β β I feel bad that this place is getting bad reviews only because of one doctor. Dr. Susan Goldsmith helped my husband 10 years ago and me now to live like a normal person, without pain. Thank you!

β β β β β Very bad experience ,be careful they hook you up 48 hour cancellation notice charge me $200 to cancel the appointment I stuck in an emergency cant make the appointment next day even 24 hours cancellation notice and more they told they bill for the examination for $ 250 but billed $275 very very bad experience not going back again.

β β β β β Dr. Susan Goldsmith is by faaaarr the best psychologist Iβve ever seen. She has such a unique way of getting to the heart of the matter and helps you truly work through things. Each session feels so productive and you leave feeling 10lbs lighter.

β β β β β This Saeed Ghafari Aka psychologist (I use the term loosely) who my wife went to see and from her personal experience was not who or what she needed for her mental health. Would not recommend at all. There are better psychologists out there.
A) Would a Psychologist be concerned about your home building process than actually diagnosing and treating you?
B) Should a Psychologist not be condescending?
C) Should a so called trained professional be late and not apologize or give reason as to why they are late?
The only reason I did not escalate this and file a complaint with the College of Psychologists of B.C. was because my wife did not want me to.
Otherwise it would have been my pleasure to notify them about the unprofessionalism and lack of punctuality. If an appointment is for a specific time and the doctor shows up late or does not offer an apology or reason, that would be considered inappropriate or shows lack of respect for the patient. He did not offer her any tips that would benefit her.
Now, to protect myself legally, here is the normal spiel that has to be written.
In closing, I would like to add this is our personal opinions and this is merely a review. Others may have had similar instances and others may have had a better experience than what my wife had.

β β β β β Went to see Dr Ghaffari and got to say, love his firm approach. If you want to go to a counselor that doesnβt dote on you and massage your hurts, someone who is direct and believes that you are responsible for a lot of your own stuff and who helps you take ownership of your stuff, heβs the man. Best counselor I have seen, only one I recommend.

β β β β β Saw Dr. Ghafari for couples counselling, multiple sessions, a few years ago. He had a very "firm" approach with my spouse, very discouraging. He is the only psychologist or counsellor I've seen that has managed to bring up (multiple times) his own education and his sons education into the session, and I have seen at least 4 other counsellors who manage to not brag about their own accomplishments. He is arrogant. He referred to people I talked about by their jobs instead of their names which I found odd/disrespectful.
Would definitely not recommend. Also brought up a topic I asked him to stop addressing. 2 HUGE thumbs down.
I have heard great things about Dr. Goldsmith, and had a good experience with Dr.Dave Currie for anyone hoping to find a good one.
