Keeps patient medical records out in the waiting room where anyone could easily steal them. Pretty sure that's a breach of patient privacy. I've been alone in his waiting room, early in the morning, with no one to stop me from stealing hundreds of patient's medical records. Especially because the receptionist shows up after the clinic is open. Must be a serious health care act violation. I also really am unhappy with his appointment system. He tells you to show up at a certain time for an appointment-as he does to ten other people. So you show up at your appointment time but end up waiting for an hour or more. His 'appointment' system? Tell ten people to show up at 9 AM and leave their health card on the receptionist's desk. He then take the health cards and sees people in the order he picks up the cards. Totally unprofessional!

Looking at some of these reviews I was shocked to see some negatives reviews. I am a patient of Dr Im for over 10 yrs and I was never disappointed. Please remember that even when you go to emergency department in a hospital, you still have to wait. I always appreciate him and his professionalism.

When I first read the reviews here I got apprehensive due to the negative comments. However, when we arrived at Dr. Im's clinic, it was the exact opposite. There was no wait. Everything went smoothly. Ms Elvira at the reception was very nice and accommodating. Dr. Im was great, he was very knowledgeable and kind, he patiently explained to my daughter about her condition and what the procedure is going to be. I couldn't have asked for a better doctor. Definitely highly recommended.

I was also hesitant reading the reviews on Google but my IUD replacement experience was quick and generally positive. A past clinic has tried IUD removal but did not succeed. Dr Im was very experienced and removed the device within seconds with minimal pain. The replacement IUD was inserted moments later- experienced discomfort as is typical with this process, took some Motrin to assist. The wait was around 30 minutes but I can see how it could take longer, the clinic is very busy!

I saw Dr Im for two years with absolutely no change in my symptoms. My questions and concerns were not answered directly, professionally or medically. His attempts were always to mute my symptoms using IUDs and the pill which would have had negative effects on my future fertility. Not to mention how rude and short the reception is. I even complained about his professionalism to my GP and nothing was done. If you feel something is off please seek another opinion or educate yourself on your body and hormones by other means.

The receptionist is the worst I've ever experienced. Please avoid her. Clinic is to help treat patients who are in pain but she's so rude to the patients and I felt very stressed out. They are busy and she stressed out to patients to an unbelievable level with her unprofessional attitude.

Expect 1 hour waiting and one minute with doctor. They are booking 10 people on the same time slot. Receptionist is rude. Doctor seemed doesn’t really care about my concerns and didn’t give me clear answers.

If I could give 10 stars, I would. I've been Dr. Im's patient for over 25 years (probably more), so needless to say writing or reading reviews wasn't in place when I first started seeing him. But now as I am returning home to Toronto from years abroad I found myself online - anxious to make an appointment with the only Ob/Gyn in the actual world I trust - reading reviews...and I'm smiling. I don't know why anyone would consider lifting files from a Doctor's office or violating the privacy of others...but then why do people do anything? What I do know is that long hours in a waiting room can be tedious and annoying. And thankfully there are tons of "Minute Clinics" in and around the city as an alternative for those who don't have the whole day to wait. I, for one will wait...as long as it takes...for quality care. I get a feeling of satisfaction knowing the right kind of people are NOT flooding Dr. Im's waiting room. The impatient, the judgmental, the basic, the file thieves(?). Those who know quality know that it does come at a cost. I would pay cash outta pocket for that level of medical expertise, but our beautiful O.H.I.P plan dictates otherwise, and therefore my time is the ONLY thing I spend. Amazing!! I'm sure you'll find the waiting room at 790 Bay St. full still, despite any unfavourable reviews and here's why: Both have been in the game for decades. Elvira is insurmountably proficient in running the FOH and Dr. Im...well he's for the Elite. The Elite know this, so we don't bother to contemplate file theft or run an internal office inspection. We show up to our appointment, sit and gladly forfeit our precious time.
