I never felt so insulted in my life. My experience coming there was awful. When you first come in there’s a huge desk with three receptionist who are rude and extremely unprofessional. Your trying to sign in and they all ignore you like your a bug on a window. Then when your finally signed in after standing there for 10-15 minutes and they call your name to go into the room your waiting for over an hour in the room. Dr. Bakhet seem nice and joked a lot. But he told me the results will be with my main doctor after a week. I waited for about 10 days just in case and when I went to my main doctor and wasted my time the results wasn’t even there. The receptionist for my doctor tried calling dr bakhet to get my results but it was still inconclusive. I went back to Dr. Bakhet office to see what’s going. Here we go again. Not only that I’m standing in front of these 3 ladies I’m standing there for 15 minutes. When someone finally talked to me she was an absolute b*. I actually can’t think of a nice way to put it. Not only has my result hasn’t came back she brushed me off like I was big she needed to get away from. I doubt I’ll ever call back for my results and will go somewhere else.

The way I get treated from the receptionist is very upsetting they don’t understand anything or how to help others. All they do is sit and talk but it would be nice to get the help we need not the rude people that work at the front desk. But the my dr is great but I think they should change the woman that work at the front desk. They all are brown woman who don’t understand customer service

Dr. Bakhet is just Ok but the service at the reception is terrible. The receptionist is one of this people who makes things more difficult than what they could be. Dealing with someone like her in general is disappointing but when you are pregnant, having lots of questions and concerns, it is overwhelming, frustrating and annoying. She absolutely lacks of empathy, communication and customer service skills. For your mental health keep yourself as far as possible from this place.

I just had my 3rd baby under the care of Dr. Bakhet. I’ve had nothing but a great experience with him as well as with his staff. My parents were flying in from the states for my delivery. With COVID they needed to fill out a number of forms. I was able to submit to the clinic and receive back in no time. Every doctor visit was organized and streamlined. There wasn’t a long wait, unless Dr. Bakhet had an emergency csection to attend to.. and that’s not in his control. All of my visits were extremely professional and I never felt rushed out of the room. He always took the time to listen to me and to educate me on procedures, so I was fully aware of all the risks and benefits. He has a steady hand is is extremely calm under stressful situations. I’ve seen him work well with his own staff and the OR staff. Finally, he was a calming presence when things got a bit dicey. I would whole heartedly recommend Him to my family and friends. Some of the reviews mentioned issues with staff.. I can’t comment on whether that happened or not. But this review is for Dr. Bakhet and I can’t leave a higher rating for him.

Went in for a surgery with Dr. Bakhet and he was incredibly honest with his technique, the complications that could arise, and made sure I was very informed before moving forward. The procedure itself was very efficient but he took his time to perfect everything to his best ability. He prepared me for the recovery process and the rest time I’d need which he ended up being completely correct about! There were no complications at all. The wait times were long yes, but I’d rather wait a bit of extra time to get my own thorough appointment time with him than a doctor that just rushes you out. Overall, very happy with my experience.

Dr. Bakhet is a wonderful doctor and I never felt rushed when seeing him. He has amazing positive energy and will take his time to answer any questions you may have. I have never felt rushed and he was always punctual when I was seeing him. His receptionists were great and was always helpful during my visits to the clinic. I couldn't ask for a better doctor during my pregnancy and would refer him to anyone! I speak highly of this doctor and is forever grateful for the time I spent with him during my pregnancy. I had a scheduled c-section with him and he was so calm and had such good energy that I felt so comfortable during the whole process. He was so quick that I couldn't believe my twins were out so fast lol. I know every body is different, but I was healed and in no pain by day 3 of my surgery all I took was advil and tylenol for 3 days and that was it! needless to say, he was an amazing doctor/surgeon and I thank God everyday that I got to be under his care!

I had my prenatal care done at Amara’s by Dr Bakhet because that’s who I was referred to. I now have my beautiful baby, but for any future pregnancies or personal checkups I would not come back. I was always on time for my appointments but waited 1hr+ in the waiting room on multiple occasions. I understand being busy but give your patients a heads up if their doctor is going to be a while! Some people take time out of their jobs for their appointments since you’re closed weekends. Anyway, here were my issues: Any time I saw Dr Bakhet I would ask questions and bring up any concerns because he didn’t voluntarily provide me any information- I would enter the room with a student nurse, wait another 20mins to see him, get my blood pressure checked, find baby’s heart beat, and he would feel around my belly and say “ok see you next time. Here is a requisition for blood work.” and that was it. As this was my first pregnancy I would have appreciated seeing him more frequently, given more information (even my blood pressure # would have been nice) and not being told to “forget about my anxiety and stop worrying about everything” when I had concerns. Maybe I had concerns because I wasn’t updated on anything and was given an eye roll when I asked for what was on file? Maybe because twice, students found incorrect medical information on my file? Maybe because I was always rushed to get out? Maybe because any time an exam needed to be done I would get asked to do it in the bathroom and leave it labeled on the back table so an assistant can come grab it. Don’t you get paid to do these exams? Arent you an OBGYN? All these little things are memorable, especially for a first-time pregnant woman. Don’t expect us to know everything. You’re there not just for prenatal checkups, but to help us & make us feel comfortable. :) Receptionists were always friendly & extremely helpful.

Dr. Bakhet is such a amazing and knowledgeable, kind and concerned doctor. He explains everything in detail and makes sure you understand and are comfortable. I had surgery with him today and he did a good job. I want to thank him and his team at Amara clinic, the secretary and staff and the nurses at Jim Pattison that helped me in today’s surgery and anesthesiologist. I would highly recommend Dr Bakhet to everyone. I wish I saw him with my daughters. Thank you again!
