A friend recently broke her wrist and had to have surgery similar to my own 10 years ago at Surrey Memorial hospital. The surgeon was Dr Jackson and I was remembering how he talked about the s shaped incision as being quicker to heal and leaving less of a scar. Doctor Jackson performed surgery on me twice. Trigger finger release twice on one hand and then bilaterally a few months later. I found him very friendly, humorous and very professional. He explained clearly the issues I was having and what my options were. When it came time for the procedure, he explained what he and his staff were going to do, and made me comfortable while he was doing it. Would definitely recommend him and his staff.

Dr Colin Jackson has worked his way up over the years and from what I can gather is at the top of his ranks. Stellar reputation throughout the lower mainland in his specialties. He repaired my right wrist carpel bones with pins several years ago and did a great job. Fast forward to this past week. My four year old broke his arm, but above the elbow at the base of his humerus. Sight unseen, dr Jackson viewed the imaging and decided to fit my son into his already massive schedule and pin the fracture back in place. People forget the surgeons are capable of almost superhero like skills and procedures, but are human beings still. Not miracle workers. It was hard being a parent in this simple enough situation. There was no communication about the delays that day of surgery (yesterday) and I never got to communicate with Dr Jackson even once. Ultimately none of that matters, his concern and focus was obviously in the best interest of my young son. I know he is apparent as well and I want him to know how much I appreciate that. I don't think my son knows how lucky he was to get into Dr Jackson's schedule on a moment's notice, but I sure do! They handled my boy perfectly and did a great job. I am astonished how quickly he bounced back. Thank you nurses, front line workers and thank you dr Jackson, and your staff. Your job isn't to keep the parents under supervision and composure, you clearly know what your job is and that is where your focus lies. Awesome job!!! Thank you a million times for fixing us up with your incredible skill set and experience

So grateful I had Dr. Jackson as my surgeon! The OR nurse told me he did great work & she was right! 3 months later, the Physio said that I've progressed in a way "that's unheard of," & I always get complimented on how minimal & neat my scar is. I don't have pain & I have my range of motion back. I'm so lucky that Dr. Jackson not only picked the perfect way to address the surgery out of the options, but then also executed it so carefully. I'm thrilled to "be back!"
