The staff are helpful, knowledgeable and no pressure when it comes to sales - which is so important when you're making decisions about what camera will work best for you. Highly recommended if you're looking to have an honest, informative conversation about the best gear and cameras that work for your needs.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was looking for a camera body that was out of stock in many places, but available at Downtown. I initially emailed them to confirm that they had it stock and received a reply quickly. Since I didn't purchase the camera immediately, I checked in again via their Instagram page and again, quickly received a response confirming the camera was available. I placed my order and received it 1-2 days later via UPS. The packaging was secure and padded such that the camera box was pretty protected. It was a quick and painless experience! At the moment, I'm not sure if I have a defective camera body though, so since I live in Montreal, I'll have to find a Sony retailer who can help me assess if the issue is me or the camera. I already use the Sony system so I am familiar with it, but thus far, getting sharp photos out of the new camera is a real challenge.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ George did a wonderful job taking our infant's passport photos. He was very detailed oriented, efficient, and professional. Our mother also hers taken. We had our sons passport photos done here too a couple of years ago when he was an infant. They are very good for passport photos of all ages. I'd highly recommend them over Shoppers or any corner store claiming to do photos.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best place for infant passport pictures. I was sent to their store by one of their competitors who mentioned they were very good at taking baby pictures for passports and they were right. George, the lovely photographer, was incredibly patient, and clearly experienced taking baby pictures for passport. He even sang to calm my 2-month old so that we wouldn't have to come back another day. I would recommend making an appointment online if you can before going.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I won't go anywhere else for my film photography needs anymore, these guys are the best in the city! Prices are always fair and the selection is great as well. The shining stars are definitely the staff though, every time I've come in the person helping me has been friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and tried to get me the best product for my needs for the best price. They're not trying to get you to shell out as much cash as they can, they genuinely want you to get a good deal on products you'll like. Thank you guys!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you are looking for Canada or USA passport size photographs (print or electronic), then Downtown Camera is the right place to come. The reason I like this place so much and its always my goto place because 1. its reasonably priced 2. Its in Downtown and most importantly and the main reason is because of their awesome employee George. George is the best. He takes the time to make you comfortable for your picture, is never in a rush no matter how busy the shop is and takes the exact requirements from you and ensures that they are followed. His biggest quality is his patience..he doesn't mind taking another photograph until you get the perfect picture that you are happy with. Really nice person and is NEVER in a bad mood and makes sure that his clients are provided excellent service and that they leave with a smile and with a positive feeling. This is why I give this place 5 stars. Thank you @Downtown Camera for having George in your shop.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a amazing place, cool people, nice decorations, you really love it, as I did,I had good experience there,I found a light box cheaper any other stores, even Amazon, in the entrance you will find an amazing walll with all kind of cameras from beginning, for me was a memorable thing, can you believe it. Highly recommended if you're photographer or filmmaker, it good to you check it out.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I brought my Canon A-1 here for a full light seal replacement and to get the infamous Canon shutter squeak dealt with. These guys were quick to get it all done and at a very reasonable price as well. The camera sounds 100x better than it did when I brought it in and I’m looking forward to start shooting with it. Will definitely be coming back.
