Really not happy about the film lab!!! Been dropoing off several 120 color film to develop and all of them have light leaks from the side and most importantly the end which affect the final image in some degree. I'm 100% sure that light leak is not caused by my camera during shooting because I shoot bw film regularly and develop at home by my self. I only have one 120 camera and I ever experienced any light leaks from it. Also in order to prevent light leaks I always roll my 120 roll extremely tight. I only develop color film with dons and every single roll of my color film got leaked. The leak was definitely 100% caused by inappropriate operation in the lab. Also have to criticise the quality of the scans. Scans are always like garbage and even some times image full of water marks and scratches. Extremely low quality color correction shots look like expired. Extreamly low reslution even for the high er res option at the same time full of noise. Through out all those years shooting Film, I have developed with a mount of labs across the globe, scans from dons are the worst i have ever seen and sarcastically still away from the second worst. Really disappointed. Im sure dons hire qualified technician to handle our film and qualified technicians know how terrible are the scans and how easy it is to get it fixed. We dont wanna spend $20 for a roll of potra plus $15 for developing for these light leaked watermarked scratched expired film looking low resolution noised garbage scans. Film shooters in winnipeg including me appreciate that dons still process film in 2022 and maintain good friendship with dons being the only film lab in winnipeg. Improment can be made very easily and result enormously. Im more than happy to delete this comment after I see changes and I wish this can happen soon. Film photography will die if labs keep doing dodgy job

I came here last night and got there 15 minutes before close due to work and this being the only time I could make it down in the past couple of weeks. I had a super urgent request as my father is diagnosed terminally ill and was given a very short timeline. The only thing he would of wanted this Christmas was pictures of me and my siblings as he never had any of us. There was a lady I believe by the name Amanda and a gentleman in which I cannot remember the name of but they were absolutely fantastic and helped me with my urgent request. I would consider this as a miracle and will be coming back for all my photo needs, if I could give them a higher rating I would! - Thank you again!

The best quality prints for sure. Great customer service. They called my sister to let her know her 16x 20 print would turn out blurry so she was able to pick a different print instead. I took away one star because their online ordering program is an absolute nightmare to use compared to any other I’ve used. Over the last few years anytime I’ve tried to order off of my new up to date phone, it freezes and glitches and then I have to reupload after an hour spent getting them halfway uploaded. Then once you get to the part to move around the crop box it freezes on almost every photo. Even trying to upload 5 photos at time it would do this. The program would also randomly select photos I didn’t select to upload. My mom and sister also have these issues. I love Dons photos but wish they would get a better program so I can stop pulling my hair out lol!

I recently had a digital painting I'd done, printed at Don's. I ran behind on my timeline and called to see what my options for quickest print were (ex what's faster, stretched/ unstretched canvas or photo enlargement or rag cotton etc). The gentleman on the phone told me to go through the main st location, and to select in store pickup as it would shave about a day off of my processing time of 5-7 business days. It was a gift for my husband, so worst case, I would print a small version off of my home printer and wrap that. My piece was ready so fast that i was able to gift it on the day of our anniversary, and it is the most beautiful quality. It will hang in our home for years. All of my paintings will be printed through Don's. Phenomenal service.

I've just received a shipment from a purchase I made earlier in the week. I'm from Toronto and have never heard of Don's Photo since there are no branches here but they have been very efficient and reliable. My item took 4 days to arrive by mail and I would definitely recommend purchasing online from here if you are not local.

With so many businesses online now, the difference is costumer service. I ordered a camera but they didn't had it in stock, I reached out to them and they answered first thing Monday morning. They cancelled right away. I since then ordered twice with them and for every question I have, the response time is excellent. You can even expect an answer within 5 min. They're helpful and reliable. My favorite photo store now.
