Dollar Tree

Large dollar store with huge selection and decent prices. Interior is clean, bright and easy to shop. Customer service is pleasant as well. I am removing a star for location because the parking lot here is super busy on weekends and its not always the most convenient to get to.

Ignored when I stood at Cash watching them count and try to balance. I asked a question and they told me to wait. I asked my question again and they said isle 6 and 7. I said I can't find it. They ignored me. I went back and double-checked what I was looking for but it wasn't there. I went back to the cash and sat there patiently while they ignored me and tried to balance. They could not balance and carried on a frustrated conversation between the two of them. I walked away clearly exasperated at this point and no one commented. I just left my basket and walked out. Terrible customer service today.

Saturday Feb 23, 2019, around 11:30 am, went there to grab 3 things. Thought I could run in and out quickly. Not. It was horrible. One young lady on cash. No one else. There was a line up of about 10 people. And no one else to help her on cash. Well, we were all very upset by this. It wasn't the young girls fault. She tried to call someone to come help. So like about 15 minutes in long line up. No one. Finally a lady comes saying she was the assistant manager, or something like that. She goes I was trying to find someone. Lol. And when I finally was at the cash register. I go is there no one else here working cash? She goes their on lunch and I was trying to have my lunch. Like are you kidding me. At the same time and at the busiest time of day. I said to her "usually management helps out." To myself I think, That's their job. Anyways I go this I'd crazy to be waiting in line this long and a long line up. I say to her, "At the dollar store they call for backup after a certain amount of people are lined up". She mumbled. And says, not directly to me, indirectly. "Oh maybe I'll get to go finish my lunch after this. " That's all she thought of. Not about all of us customers waiting. And that poor girl trying to be calm and friendly. Felt bad for her. That place person should be fired. She truly doesn't care about her job or the customers. Yes, she should have a lunch, but at the same time, as the only other employee there, at that time? No. And it was only 11:30 am. Not even lunch time yet. Oh BTW, it was now 12:15 pm when I was at cash register. I would of walked out, but I really was running out of time to go anywhere else. Not happy, at all. And she's part of management. Horrible. ?

Store is consistantly in a state of disarray. Product strewn on floor, in overflowing buggies and boxes blocking the way. Some items out of stock for long periods of time. Needs management oversight and more help. Some unique items that Dollarama doesn't have but lacks in all other areas. 2/11/2020 Things have definitely improved in this store since my last review. Isles are generally tidy and shelves are better stocked.

I was cashed out by the most lovely sales associate at the Newmarket Dollartree today! Lynn was so happy, kind and helpful to the customers in front of me and myself! A bright positive attitude goes a super long way these days! Thanks for the smile Lynn! :)

Store manager is rude and disrespectful to employees and verbally abusive. Store is a disaster yet manager is to busy talking on the phone to deal with customer issues or tidy up and make the store more presentable. The reason everything is a $1.25 is because it’s garbage. Much rather go to the dollarama and pay a few dollars more then put up with this

This store is very good, they have wide variety of products and I found it to be way better than their competitors in terms of quality and price. I like the service and the location. I recommend it.

This dollar store is pretty big, but super messy. I had a hard time finding the stuff I was looking for and there were boxes piled up everywhere making it extremely difficult to reach anything. It's cheap like most dollar stores, but they need to clear things off the floor if they want people to come back
