★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Shocked at the level of poor service from this DHL shipper.
We sent documents via DHL Expedited for delivery within two business days. After sending we were not provided with a reference number and the clerk said he could not provide one. Instead he offered a customer service phone number to call. On calling the number only to find it forwards to a French voicemail. One week later the delivery has not yet been received.
I've ben using DHL for years but this specific location is a first. I won't be using this location any longer and as a result will likely not use DHL moving forward either.
Clear communications are very important in such matters, and communication has been unclear and ineffective from the start of this dispatch. Providing a tracking/waybill number is as basic as it gets, this shouldn't have been an issue of note.
*** Update ***
The parcel arrived at the destination and has been awaiting pickup for three days, however without the aforementioned tracking number it is impossible to access the DHL locker to retrieve the item (the tracking number is a part of the locker code), let alone being notified of its arrival. After receiving the tracking number (which should have been provided from day 1) the parcel was received as expected. Added additional ⭐️ to rating for receipt of shipment.
