★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing place to come, wonderful paths with lots of animals and birds around. Nice and scenic with both paved and shale paths to walk. Cross country skiing in the winter. The staff at the nature center are helpful, kind and courteous! Will definitely return!

This park is bordered on three sides by a meandering bend of the South Seskatchewan river. The bend will eventually become an oxbow lake! The park is semi wooded and has many paths throughout, both surfaced and dirt. There is evidence of beavers felling trees although it looks as if this activity has been "managed" by the authorities! There is a visitor centre with a car park although it was closed during my visit. The park is used by many for activities such as dog walking, cycling and jogging. The perimeter path runs along the bank of the river and provides opportunities to see local wildlife such as squirrels, deer and also fantastic views of the river.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A favourite place of ours to walk, bird watch and look for other wildlife. Nicely kept trails with benches and garbage cans along the route to rest and dispose of waste. We went down the river bank this time and walked around the island. Very quiet and serene this afternoon.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is so beautiful ?. Definitely a MUST visit to anyone in or out of Medicine Hat. All the pictures you see in the reviews...this place is all that and more. You can start by visiting the nature centre and leave some donation if you like . Then you just enjoy a great walk with an awesome view.
