★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My partner went here as a referral from his family doctor.
During his visit, the main physiotherapist stated that he was too "young" to have lower back pain (he has had back pain for 3-4 months, with numbness and pain going down his leg, causing limited mobility), and it MUST be his hamstring and if he iced it he will be fine.
He further asked what he did for a living and he stated that he recently had to apply for disability to deal with some health issues. He followed with "so you sleep on the floor? a couch?". This is a extremely discriminatory remark. He forced him into lift his leg into uncomfortable and painful positions bringing him to tears from the pain and refused to investigate his back.
He follows up with "I guess I will refer you to somewhere that is OHIP covered but you can't expect them to do much and it probably won't help"
We followed up with his family doctor and got MRI imaging, he has two very large herniated discs in his spine and is now being referred to a sport medicine doctor and neurologist.
Not only was his commentary discriminatory, but his actions as well. He couldn't see past the age of my partner (27) to even consider anything else or to investigate appropriately.
Would not recommend.

The staff are friendly and helpful and I can't say enough about Prince Christopher Joseph Registered Physiotherapist, very professional pleasant and caring. And the recent renovations are very nice . As a repeat client I recommend this location.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was having a lot of back problems, and after my first appointment at Good Sheppard Physio, I was put on a path that helped me find out I have inflammation in my SI joints. Once I found that out, I've been put on medication and given certain exercises which have been helping me. So I'm grateful for being put on the path to finally having better back health.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Having tired out a number of Physiotherapy references and been most unsatisfied with the (non)-results, Good Sheppard, specifically Chris, was recommended to me by a friend from tennis, and was she ever right! Chris's experience and thoughtfulness in his approach to getting you better is exceptional. He has a vast bank of knowledge and tools which he uses to efficiently (no additional, unnecessary appointments ever!), to get you fixed up and back to living life!
This is NOT a one size fits all operation. Chris takes the time to understand the obvious issue , and then seeks to understand the underlaying issue(s), that brought you to him, which results in a customized treatment plan specific to you, as well as a plan for after treatment and how to maintain your good health.
I would, and have, recommended Chris and Good Sheppard Physiotherapy to friends and family alike and the feedback has been the same over and over - Chris is friendly, kind, knowledgeable, trust worthy, and best of all, gets the issue fixed!!!
