★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place has been in business for years under the radar, I guess. Why do I ask? Because there's just one review and this locksmith is by far the best I've come across.
I recently moved into an old apartment with my wife and newborn, so obviously security is pretty important to me. One of the deadbolts on my door is a Mul-T-Lock; a bloody expensive high end lock. Problem is that it's seized up after years of neglect and only works once in awhile with the key. I've already been locked out accidentally because of this. But replacing them is a huge expensive hassle (this brand is distributor specific with only one master key per distributor). Long story short, I wasn't able to remove it.
After hours of research i learned how it could be done and lo' and behold, there's a locksmith nearby at Denman Place. I walked in expecting nothing and met Ranka(?), a lovely lade who not only explained to me how to remove it, but also lent me the proper allen keys (one of which was customized) to try it out. I didn't ask for the keys; she just offered and said bring it back the next day. No strings attached.
I went home and after about an hour of fidgeting, I got it done with the customized key! Brought the lock back to show her and return the keys within the same day. So there's a hole in the door and she tells me I'm free to buy the deadbolt to fill the hole from anywhere; there's no obligation to buy from her.
Nope..I bought a new deadbolt from her for a reasonable price and she keyed it to fit my existing key pattern. That kind of service is worthy of repeat service. This place has earned a new loyal customer.
Really good place to deal with.

There are few things less hectic than moving day, but Devak lock and key were able to take one thing off my list of changing the locks. I just brough them the door handel and deadbolt lock and in a few hours they were able to give them completely new locks, both working on the same key! All for the fraction of the price of buying new locks. They even provided the pin references number in case we ever lost the keys
All and alln the Saved me time, money and helping the environment!

I also bought a padlock from them which was nice as it was the kind with a longer loop part, which was great for what I needed. Very helpful visit - thank you!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have been using this company for years and years. Have never had a bad experience. It's under new management in the West End and Mark and Frank have been absolutely fantastic. We had a new lock installed which turned out to be faulty. A year later they replaced our lock in its entirety at no charge. They are professional to the hilt and I fully recommend using them. We wouldn't go anywhere else. Great attitude - Keep it up Mark and Frank.

I drove from my home in White Rock all the way to Devak Locksmiths in Denman Mall. As when I lived downtown for 20 years, Devak was my go to locksmith. Thank you Mark for your friendly and accurate locksmith service! Worth the drive! I have recommended Devak (and Accurate Security) to all my neighbours and strata council. Be Calm, Be Kind Be Safe :)
