Helpful staff and a solid selection of colors in the vests. Only 4 stars because the location is small and selection for tryons is limited. Giving 5 stars wouldn't be genuine. I really liked the experience though.

STAY AWAY! I went in to get a tuxedo and arrange for groomsmen suits. The suits fit terrible with no slim fit options, I paid a deposit so I could try on other options that might fit better, but ended up not liking the fits at all. The quality of the rental suits is also sub par. They now refuse to give my deposit back and have extremely conflicting wording on their rental agreements.

PLEASE STAY AWAY!!!! ******* They claim to be a wedding rental store however I have absolutely no evidence this is what they do. My Fiance and I booked an appointment online to get my suit for our wedding. 1) We received email confirmation of our appointment for 3pm. When we arrived they said our appointment was actually at 5 and questioned why we were there at 3pm. 2) The staff member was able to squeeze me in and took down my, NAME PHONENUMBER GROOMSMENS NAME'S and they were also able to measure me and order in some suits for me to try on for our second appointment. I saw with my own eyes them putting me in the system. Remember this detail it's important for later on. 3) We booked an appointment for when the suits would be in for me to come back and try them on. The appointment was scheduled for Tuesday April 12th at 4pm. Again we received an email confirmation of the appointment. The store called me on April 6th to tell me that my SUIT WAS IN AND THAT I COULD COME IN AND TRY IT ON. Remeber they called me so they had my phone number. 4)We arrived for our appointment at 4pm on Tuesday April 12th. To our surprise they had no memory of me, they did NOT have me in the system and there was no suit for me to try on!! What kind of store calls a customer to tell them their suit is in and them tells the same customer when they come in that they are not in the system. IF YOU WANT YOUR SUIT FOR YOUR WEDDING OR ANY SPECIAL EVENT GO ANYWHERE ELSE. *** Derks Managment if you would like to call me and explain what happened and also to apologize please do so. You clearly have my number despite what the staff told us.

Outstanding service from Robyn in Calgary and Lilly in Edmonton. Excellent, quality tailoring on my uniform pants. It was a difficult tailoring request and Derks went above and beyond. Thank you very much.

This place saved my rear end! Had my wedding the the 18th of June and came in 2 weeks before, finding out my personal suit didn’t fit. They had it rushed in and there within a week and a couple days. Everything fit in the wedding went without a hitch! Thank you Derks! You probably earned my buddies business for his wedding Because you did a great job helping out mine and helping him out as my best man! Thank you!

To be clear, the rental side of Derks is much different than the retail side. I typically would purchase my suits from Derks off Whyte avenue in Edmonton. I've rented from Derks twice now for two separate wedding parties and it can be quite challenging. Lots of mix-ups for the first wedding. I now live out of town, so for the second wedding I called and asked if I could use old measurements to save a trip to Calgary. Apparently they couldn't use old measurements, so they asked I come into the store (90 minute drive) and they refused to take my measurements as I did not have an appointment. Extremely frustrated service that I didn't experience on the retail side - do not expect the same kind of service if you are used to shopping there.

Derks Formals was such a great place to get suits from for the groom, groomsmen and father of the bride on our wedding day. All the staff that work there are so friendly and warm and provide such a personable touch! Renting suits, getting the measurements and ensuring proper fit was very easy and seamless even with out of town wedding party members. GREAT value for the rental as well. My husband was able to customize his a little bit as well. Highly recommend and thanks so much for being apart of our special day.

We used Derks Formals for our groomsmen wedding party rentals and it was perfect. They have a large selection of suits, vests, ties, shoes etc and made it very easy for the guys to be measured and pick up what they needed. Customer service was wonderful and they went above and beyond to make our special day very memorable. We had rentals in both Calgary and Edmonton and they made sure everyone matched. We even had a couple groomsmen who were coming from outside of Alberta and they were able to send in their measurements. The staff made sure that everyone looked their best. We also recommended Derks for guests coming from out of town and they were able to assist everyone from a teenager to a grandfather. As the groom, also rented a sweet suit jacket to change into for the dance! Thanks Derks!
