★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I normally have good experience in there. The staff is amazing. Even when I was waiting, I was chatting with a few guys while clearly love what they do, (which I even said to one younger guy during this experience).... but this one older, short guy I dealt with today, bothered me enough to post:
I phone ahead to get my order in. Apparently I said the 3 position 2 way valve, 1/8”NPT, 12vdc (which is wrong, it’s 2 position 3 way which is genuinely what I thought I said) We agree he’s able to help me, and I’ll come in to pick it up ASAP. There was no hint that I’d said anything wrong.
When I get there ... he starts telling me I got my words backwards and that what I asked for doesn’t even exist (which I know, I’m a millwright... I’ve personally ordered this part from deetag several times). He gets so worked up about it, that he starts shaking as he’s talking to me. I’m left to say “I really thought we were on the same page.” And forced to apologize so I can get this transaction moving forward. Then he tries to charge me $200 for a pneumatic valve that was much too overkill for what I needed. I walked out amazed by what just happened.
Anyway I found the part from a competitor for $70. So I’m good. And it doesn’t stop me from going to Deetag as an industrial supplier. But I don’t think I’ll do counter parts again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing service and knowledge. I was sourcing a few metric and non standard hydraulic/fuel lines for a vehicle rebuild project and they figured out a solution. After a little finger tapping and head scratching the young lady at the counter quickly showed me a few options available and fab up everything up as I waited. Great pricing and friendly staff. Thanks again for taking the time in small one off hose/fitting request.
