Wonderful place to stay in Lake Louise! My girlfriend and I were particularly impressed by a young woman named Nina who worked as part of the wait staff in the restaurant. Her great attitude and energy as well her thorough knowledge of the menu especially with vegan and gluten free options made my girlfriend at ease (she is vegan) and allowed for such a pleasant experience! Bravo Deer Lodge on your wonderful staff!!!

A very basic hotel with no TV, electric socket is hidden behind the bed. We requested to the reception to setup an extension cord which they did it. Electric kettle is not clean enough but they provide L'occitane toiletries. We do enjoy the food from their restaurant. The location is good which is about 5 minutes walk from Lake Louise.

Loved this place! We stayed in the original lodge side, which is definitely rustic and cozy (no tv!) but we didn't mind. We ate dinner in the restaurant and the food was delicious, the service was impeccable, and we had a lovely evening. It's about a seven minute walk along a pathway to Lake Louise, and a very short drive to the ski hill.

Restaurant food and service was very good though their wine pricing is higher than it should be for the selection. Accommodations adequate but not upkept, and as you can see from the pictures no security on the doors and suites could be easily entered if someone was intent to do so. Games room pool table in tatters. This place could be so much more if some profit was redirected. Room heating good, but as there is no AC would not visit in the summer.

The hot tub was awesome, though we did end up wandering around the hallway for about 15 minutes before we found the passage to the roof. The view of the stars at night from the tub were stellar. The room was comfortable, and I'd definitely sleep in their beds again. The restaurant was okay, a little over-priced for what you get, but that's the case with most hotel restaurants.

This review is coming from someone who is not high maintenance; if having a TV, room service, or everyday housekeeping is something you absolutely need, then the review would be lower. However, for me and my partner, this place was amazing. The staff were incredible and probably what made this place so great. The views were amazing and our rooms were tiny yet cozy. The food in the restaurant was great but there is not a-lot of vegetarian options- price was high but that is the norm in Lake Louise. Such a beautiful lodge, this an experience I will never forget! Thank you Deer Lodge!

We were a group of 13 - back country skiing for 2 days. We found the Deer Lodge staff excellent - from the front desk to the restaurant. Amazing location: short drives to our skiing. Wonderful newly renovated rooms (mostly). Hot tub at night great, sauna as well. Restaurant (both breakfast and dinner far was exceptional. Could not ask for a better stay. Highly recommend consider if staying in the area.

We would stay here again. I was leaning more towards 3 stars and my partner leans more towards 4 stars. We didn't have time to check out the hot tub unfortunately but the restaurant and lounge are great. We got the Gourmet Getaway package and while the price initially seems high, the food vouchers covered an obscene amount of very high quality food so I think that was where the value really shines. We knew it was an older hotel so the lack of TV and thermostat were not a huge surprise and we were there to be outside anyways. The bed was soft and the toiletries were great. I found the building to be very interesting and the ceilings are high considering the age. I took a nasty spill on the front steps, some grip tape would do well here. I think even though the older rooms have been repainted, they either need to be completely re-done or painted properly with more artwork and in-room amenities. The boxes filled with decorations in the hallway were a bit of an ambience killer and some more parking lot signage would be helpful. Overall like I mentioned we would stay again.
