β β β β β Small narrow store, very Mom & Pop style. One cashier, cash is the preferred payment method and if you do pay with credit/debit expect to pay an additional $0.35 per transaction. Takes about 2-3 minutes for an electronic trans action to process so be prepared to have the other lined up shoppers to stare you down. Within COVID-19 times and you're concerned about people being closer than 6 feet to you, Sobeys nearby may be better for you.

β β β β β Very good selection of seasonal produce - we always go here when we don't have time or the inclination to drive to a larger grocery store for a fruit and veggie run. Good selection of fresh herbs as well, and they also sell cut and potted flowers as well as teas, cookies and some Asian spices.

β β β β β Great produce store. Very good prices for produce and a good selection of seasonal fruits a d vegetables. The service is great as well and very friendly. This has been my go to store for produce considering prices are sometimes almost half what the chain grocery store less than a block away charges on items. Some spices and herbs are also available as well.

β β β β β Seriously, better than a chain supermarket. This place has everything you'd need from frozen food to fresh, dried canned and speciality foods. Butcher counter in back divided into animal meat and fish. This place is your one stop shop at affordable prices.

β β β β β Great selection of fruits, vegetables, spices, bread, dairies, select oils, sauces and teas. Prices are great and the quality of fruits and vegetables beats every big grocery store within a 20 minute drive.

β β β β β On the western edge of the area known as Danforth Village is this fruits and vegetables grocer named Danforth Village (west of Main St.)
You won't be confused because it has "Quality Fruits & Vegetables" included in its green & white store sign.
I used to come down to this area to support this small business and dropped in for fresh berries for a super price compared to Sobeys a few doors down. Did so again today.
Store staff aren't particularly brimming with friendliness but that's okay as the mission is to get high quality food for what each of us deems reasonable.
Cash is king! Surcharge added for non-cash transaction.
