Crompton Home Hardware Building Centre - Tillsonburg

I made an online order on Thursday at 1220am after the flyer prices came into effect for a limited stock $1300 item from this store. I never received a confirmation email after my confirmation so a tool a screenshot of the confirmation screen. When I got up I'm the morning I still had no confirmation email so I called to the store directly to check on my order. The staff who answered the phone would not even take my confirmation number, just advised that the person who handles these orders was not in until tomorrow and no one else could look at this for me (which I was later advised was incorrect information, and there was a centralized team who could have look into this for me on Thursday). I then called again on Friday to speak with the online order staff who advised me that the website had not finalized my order, so she could not fill it She also advised me that there were two of the item I purchased at the store and that she would put my name on one to hold it for me until the website finished my order (even though the hold had already been placed on my payment card). Saturday midday rolls around and I still have not received any update about my order so I call again after looking at the website and seeing that it now shows ZERO of my purchased item in stock. The two in stock items had now been sold and that they did not hold one for me like I had been promised on Friday. This item would come in now until February 2022. So it was pretty much a too bad so sad. The online order staff then mentioned her concerns that the yard staff does what they want and that none of the ordering system work with each other to benefit or properly fulfill customer orders in any way. There was no comparable item that could be offered. I asked what could be done for my time and inconvenience and only a $25 gft card was offered. What a slap in the face! So little customer respect or service.

Good store if your building something, or have a project on the go

Bought a Radley 40V electric lawnmower (14.5”) from this store and it is amazing! It takes me about 35 minutes to cut the grass in my front, side and back yard and this little lawnmower certainly did the trick! It is so light that it is super easy for me to maneuver it around and get it into the backyard. I was worried that the battery wouldn’t last long enough for me to finish but it did with charge to spare! I also love this Home Hardware. The staff are helpful and friendly and the store is always clean and well stocked. Highly recommend.

The staff here is always so friendly and helpful, and go out of their way to assist you. I always have a good shopping experience here.

When I arrived there is a big sign stating mandatory masks and cut side pick up. This sign is discrimination needs to be removed. The only mask bylaw in Ontario is the one from the Government which states people with disabilities are exempt. Why don’t you have a sign stating vaccinated only. I find that stores who put those signs up are very ignorant to society. If mask are mandatory in your store then vaccinated people only should be allowed in the store but you can’t say that to unvaccinated because it’s in violation of their rights this is also the same for those who are exempt it’s a violation of our rights. Your public health can not make their own rules. It’s almost 2 years it’s time to stop this ignorance

Clean, well lit, well laid out. Friendly staff greeted us and also answered our questions. Well stocked store in a small town.

I won't ever be shopping at a home hardware again. I went in to purchase a single piece of plywood that I needed cut to specific dimensions. They cut it too short and then won't replace it or refund my money. So I'm out the money for not only the board, but also my gas and time. Shopping at Rona or Home Depot for any home renos to get the product I need cut to the proper size! Home Hardware, you just lost a customer who is doing major home renovations and have now lost thousands from my business.
