I have lived here for 4 years and there is constant noise, disruptions by people trying to sell stuff, dogs bark incessantly starting at 5 am everyday. If you make complaints they call you back but never actually do anything about the issue. People can park in your paid parking spot and when you advise them of such the person at their call centre tells you nothing can be done about it. The vents carry voices into the bedrooms and now with the never ending construction it seems like someone is hammering next to your head. Also be aware when there is an emergency situation the employees at the call centre are rude. There is a multi purpose room at they facility they could direct people to and provide updates instead of having people stand in the parking lot with no information but that is too difficult for them to manage. Instead they arrange for a bus to take you to a homeless shelter for the night. One would expect better responses to regular issues and a plan for emergencies but this is not the case at this place. The walls are so thin it sounds like the neighbors above you are wearing tap shoes walking around, you can hear them use the toilet and the fixtures rattle as people walk above you. If I could give a negative star rating I would. November 9, 2018 I wrote the original complaint a couple weeks ago. Manage sent a standard email to contact them with ideas of how they can make things better. Nothing has changed in the slightest in fact it continues to get worse all day today the neighbors are incredibly noisy and a dog has cried and whined the entire day! Management has done nothing to address any of the ongoing issues! November 11, 2018 just an update I have written 3 emails to the address the response has suggested with no reply. In them I have included issues with ongoing noise complaints. There is no response and the noise continues unabated.

Very good place to rent an apartment. A few small concerns but the friendly staff always take care of you. They have a lot on their plate but eventually things get done. I wish to thank all staff & the management

I moved in a short time ago. The leasing manager and team have been fantastic helping me out, as I moved from another province. They answered all my questions ASAP and I didn't have to wait to hear back from them. Tenants are friendly and helpful. Building and grounds are clean. You can hear a bit of noise, but it is what you'd expect from an apartment. I love that it is pet friendly and I didn't have to sign a lease.

Not sure why there are so many complaints. Granted we have only been here since March but we are very happy. Any maintenance issues have been taken care of promptly. The building is maintained. I expect barking in a pet friendly apartment and some noise from neighbours. It is an older wood frame building so sound travels in every direction. Overall it is quiet with little traffic in the halls. We are on the third floor so we would get noise from any direction if it happens. We like the little dog down the hall who barks an intruder warning when some one comes down the hall from the elevator. Let's us know someone is out there. We consider him an early warning system. Rent is reasonable at the moment and our cats are happy. So are we that they can be with us. Management and staff are friendly and helpful. Some people want complete silence. Not going to happen as long as there is life going on or you live in a concrete bunker. I prefer the sound of life whether it is birds, dogs, people talking while they bike or kids playing.

Pros: 1. Clean units 2. Good water pressure and hot water 3. Maintenance, the 1 time I've required it, was fairly quick, friendly and effective 4. Lots of plugs in each room 5. Decent closet space 6. Some units have large laundry rooms which double as some extra storage 7. Heating - TBD as haven't been here during winter 8. Dog park/small fenced area 9. Nice nearby paths for walking/jogging 10. Lots of nearby stores and grocery 11. Parking lots and shared spaces tend to be kept clean and well maintained Cons: 1. Customer service - Local office is near-impossible to get on the phone and even though they advertise 24/7 support you are almost always routed to their BC call centre. They are however unable to assist on some items and can only document items for the local staff to do. The frustrating part is that the local staff are slow to respond even on time-sensitive issues even when they are getting contacted by their call centre to contact their customers. (some room here for some process improvements & or staffing increases) 2. AC unit is not central and is instead a wall-mounted unit that is great for cooling the room it is in but it is not effective at reaching the rest of the unit (bedrooms) 3. Noise - Units are not built with any sort of sound-proofing as any walking from those in the unit above or your other neighbors sounds can be hard quite clearly through the walls. - This includes dogs, since they are allowed, and the dependency on the owners of being responsible. Unfortunately, dog owners are not always considerate as you can have dogs barking late at night for extended periods of time as the owners likely left the home, unattended when they go out 4. Appliances - Older / cheap appliance that do function but nothing to write home about 5. No on-site storage 6. Poorly managed parking with some tenants being forced to park a considerable distance from their building and visitor parking being very close 7. Each unit can be buzzed by someone at the front door to be let in however the volume on the buzzer in the unit is so low that it can't be heard if you are in one of the bedrooms.

Being a previous employee with Broadsheet Properties, there are a few things that really stood out to me. I was really impressed with the quality and presence of their senior leadership team. They took the time to visit the properties and connect with Property Managers. I was also really impressed with the quality of training provided. Their eLearnings are extensive and really well put together. The onboarding process was very organized and everything was ready to go first day without any issues. Overall this is a really great place to work. This is a growing organization with a really good culture, that you want to be a part of.

I have lived here for 8.5 years and love it. I especially love that I can have my 80 pound chocolate lab with me. To me the floor plan and storage is unbeatable for the rent charged. Over the years I have seen changes in staff and they have all been friendly,efficient and accommodating. Maintenance calls are done quickly and always professional. I guess you can’t please everyone on every aspect but I find if you go into the office and talk face to face they will do everything they can to help. I’m blessed with wonderful neighbours and staff - knowing if I have to leave on a trip my belongings are being watched over. Thank Broadstreet for making me feel safe - can’t put a price on that. IanywheAnywhereanywhere else.

This is the worst place to live if you have pets. My dog has had a seizure and several panic attacks because of the noises coming from the apartment above us. There is a customer service number you can call but I guess they don't actually care to do anything about your concerns. The staff at the office on the property spend their time smoking in the multipurpose room as this seems to take precedence over managing the property. It's a shame to see such a beautiful property mismanaged. Don't waste your time looking into living here, it's not at all what they promise you.
