K	King Nino on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The maintenance guy there is a two faced kinda guy who says hello to everyone then talks about you behind your back, even makes up stuff,he goes by a fake name maybe he's wanted somewhere, I agree with all the other bad reviews about this place as well, would not recommend this place to anyone,we also had to keep the heat on full blast in the winter because the place is not insulated properly and drafts come through the windows and even the wall outlets, so expect very high hydro bills
J	Justin Lynch on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Like another said, walls and ceilings/floors are paper thin. You will hear and feel the tenant under you stomping and it's even worse coming from the tenant above. Appliances are ancient, I'm honestly surprised they still work at all (the dishwasher, dryer, and A/C really don't). Like most places the breaker will blow when doing only 3 things. Windows are 2 pane so combined with paper walls there's virtually zero insulation. Landlords don't even remotely care about noise complaints because they know the wall situation so expect to frequently hear actual children and adults with the minds of children stomping around through hallways/apartments. Since the building is ancient, even if the the person above you doesn't stomp expect to consistently hear super loud squeaking. The only thing that's kept us here was price and the fireplace. If those trump all of the above then boy is this the place for you.
m	matthew cortes on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ run down old out dated place. paper thin walls, not kidding in the slightest about the walls you can hear every single thing your neighbours do,no extra parking, keep raising rent even tho our building is filthy all the time and EVERYTHING is from the 80s. the only thing keeping us here untill we move into a house is the in suite laundry. the neighborhood is excellent and that seems to be there selling feature or why they keep wanting more money.

Upon moving out I got the suite professionally cleaned by the company they recommended at a cost of $300. They then decided that I only deserved $200 of my $500 deposit back as the place needed $300 worth of cleaning. Haha. Wow. Good thing I have the receipt for the cleaning and took pictures for when I take them to the tenancy branch!!! Very unprofessional. You should be ashamed of yourselves...disgusting behavior.
J	Jenny B on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Do not rent here. Rivard is the WORST I have ever experienced in 15 years of renting throughout western Canada. I'm not exaggerating at all. I lived in building 50, it was dated, like the others have said. The appliances work like you would expect a 40 year old appliance to work (so...they dont). Paper this walls, terrible maintenance, worse service from management. It has been over a month since moving out. Still havent recieved my damage deposit back, and it was an absolute nightmare attempting to sublet, as management turned down every applicant I brought through. I ended up paying 4 months of rent while not living there because of their mismanagement of prospective subletters. The area is nice, but that is the only redeeming quality here. Management will try to weasel every dollar out of you, so take pictures of EVERYTHING when you move in and make sure you point out every hole in all the walls and stains on all areas of the carpets. I did not, but was very specific on the move in report. Even with that they argued every point. They even tried to change the walk out report after I'd signed it, but because I had taken a photo of it, they "fixed the error" . These people do not have any scruples.
