They did the job. There was no engagement in the level of service or advice, I basically felt like I rented a sewing machine for $45. They ask you to specify precisely what you want done and how it should be done. A place delivering good service would offer a professional opinion. I Tailored several pants and didnt get them tapered as well; my old seamstress did it for me so I didnt think about it. I believe a place with good service would have pointed out that the original pants were tapered and shortening them would alter the look. I would have left happy and the business would have made more money from the transaction.

This tiny shop is run by a professional seamstress; the work is excellent. It is not a chain store, and that is reflected in the quality. Well worth the wait--this is not the place to go for a rush job; that is what the alterations stores do. The reason this shop is so busy is that while it can accommodate only a few staff, craftsmanship/sewing is important to them. I read a few of these reviews and was amazed that people seemed to expect a shop of this size to be able to serve everyone at once!

I've had great experiences with this company. I went in there with two dresses, one way too large and one way too small (to wear to an engagement party and a wedding). The owner did her magic and they both turned out amazingly well and fit wonderfully. I am now taking several articles of clothing in to get altered. Highly recommended!!

I needed my wedding dress altered and fast! Monica does not let her customers down! She rushed my alteration and even worked on it at home on a Sunday to have my dress ready on time. She does beautiful work and takes great pride in what she does. Thank you Monica for making my dress so perfect!

I brought in my wedding dress on a Thursday and needed it done by Saturday as the last seamstress was not able to resize my dress as it was deemed "complicated". Monica was a life saver. She was able to take it in and make it fit perfectly in only 48 hours with the initial fitting when I first came in. I am so grateful for her and the work she did.

My daughter had her wedding dress altered here and when we went to put it on this past Saturday, it was dirty and had black pieces of thread everywhere and it had snags all over it. We also had a bridesmaids dress altered here and when Monica was measuring it the bridesmaid had her wedding shoes on, when we picked it up it was at least three inches too short! Monica just walked away and wouldn't talk to us. It cost $210 for alterations to the bridesmaids dress and then we had to go buy flat shoes so the dress wasn't terribly short. I will not be recommending this place to anyone and will never go here again. I'm giving one star because there is no option for zero.

I'm not quite sure of others experiences... Mine was simply outstanding, Monica the owner, re-fabricated a standard $180.00 BUGATCHI dress shirt and customized it into a one of a kind work of art. My experience was one of complete customer service, outstanding quality and workmanship. She was very accommodating for my needs in timing and given creative licencing, She returned to me what is now my favorite shirt. I own perhaps 45 high end and custom dress shirts, her insight and talent took a shirt from average to outstanding. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

TLDR; There was a miscommunication about the price and the owner publicly guilted me to pay $20 for 5 minutes of measurements. Sorry to leave the bad review. I asked for the price to hem my dress and the price I heard was $35 but after the measurements were done, I saw $141 on the piece of paper. I asked to confirm that it was going to be $35 but the lady said $135 - so I had misheard her the first time. $135 may be reasonable but it was above my internal threshold that I had set before going there. So I said sorry, took my dress back and started leaving. However, the owner, who did the measurements, ran out and and started saying β€œHow could you? I did the measurements! That is work. How could you? This is a gown.”. The owner told me to pay for the measurements and charged me $20. I paid $20 and left with no alterations , but with the measurement marks on my dress. I agree that doing the measurements is work but it is no use to me as I’m not a seamstress, and with me mishearing the price I believe it is on the business. In my opinion, the owner doesn’t care about good customer service, although, reading other reviews, I don’t think she would even consider me a customer. I understand that the owner must have been hurt that I thought the price of their service could be so low, and I understand they might do good work (I don’t know) but I had a really bad experience with my interaction. Sorry.
