About Country Hills Dental Centre
Dr. Tarnjit (“TJ”) Sahota was born in England and moved to Calgary when he was 8 years old. Growing up in northeast Calgary provided Dr. Sahota with the opportunity to explore and develop his own interests, which included a keen interest in basketball. After playing basketball in junior high school, Dr. Sahota decided it was time to focus on his studies, which eventually led him to the University of Calgary where he studied Biochemistry. He then moved to Edmonton to attend the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Alberta where he received his dental training. It was there that he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Sahota has been practicing in Calgary ever since and can now claim over 20 years of experience as a dentist, although he is somewhat astounded that this amount of time has passed by.
Dr. Sahota believes in taking the time it requires to provide each patient with the best dental care possible. His calm and caring manner paired with his years of experience provide a relaxed and comfortable environment for his patients. Dr. Sahota is also fluent in Punjabi.
Dr. Sahota stays up to date in dentistry by attending various dental courses, seminars, and conferences. He is a member of the Calgary District Dental Society, the Alberta Dental Association and College, and the Canadian Dental Association. Dr. Sahota provides an array of dental services, including crowns and bridges, implant crowns, veneers, composite filings, root canal therapy, tooth removal, and splint therapy.
Outside the office, Dr. Sahota is kept busy with his wife and children plus, of course, the latest home renovation project. Dr. Sahota loves to spend family time in the outdoors whenever possible, hiking, biking, running, and walking very slowly. His other interests include old-school movies which are not fully appreciated by his wife and children and car maintenance which his children/apprentices also do not fully appreciate. And he still plays basketball, occasionally feeling the wind of the Michael Jordan glory days catch his sails.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Carrie is an amazing dental hygienist. She is very thorough with my cleanings but always ensures a pain free experience. I look forward to coming in and seeing her and catching up on life. She is very attentive and has an amazing memory as she seems to recall details from previous appointments that I barely recall. Dr. Jamie Wallace is amazing too. Although I don’t see him every time he is always very thorough and listens to any concerns I bring up and comes up with the best solutions. The office staff is always very friendly and helpful and waste no time in getting me checked in and on my way afterwards. I live in Cranston but still call this office my own.

The entire team there really cares for the patients and is always happy to answer any questions. They also do not try and upsell or make you do unnecessary procedures. You can tell they are looking after the best interest of the patient and not just trying to make a buck. The hygenists are gentle and friendly and the every dentist has been thorough and courteous. Our family of 4 as well as our extended family have never had a bad experience. If you are looking for a new dental office, give them a try.

I have been to 3 dental offices in Calgary and Dr.Tim is the best dentist I have seen, and I completely trust his opinion. The reception staff are also so amazing, accommodating my schedule to the best that they could and I am so appreciative of them. I also believe Carrie is my dental hygienist and she is also so great. Every staff member here cares about you and it shows. Could not recommend them enough, thank you for all you do!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My daughters and I have been going to Country Hills Dental since we moved to Hidden valley 7 years ago. We have since moved about 30 minutes away from Country Hills Dental but my girls refuse to change dentists and I’m having a hard time considering the change. Everyone is absolutely lovely. The receptionists are always so kind and welcoming. They are understanding when we had emergencies (broken teeth, tooth infections etc). The hygienists are always very understanding about my tooth sensitivity. The hygienists were very patient and encouraging when my youngest refused to open her mouth. The dentists explained all the issues we had very clearly, provided good advise, advocated for me when I needed surgery etc. Please note the office staff always give me the option of seeing one particular dentist but I find all of the dentists give great advice, are professional, respecting, kind, and understanding. I highly recommend the Country Hills Dental.
