Corefront Custom Renovations - Calgary

We went to the Calgary Home Expo and got info from Corefront. They came by and gave us an estimate. We felt they listened to us and we liked their recommendations. They worked within our budget and we are very pleased with the end result. We feel like we have a new home and love it.

We had our basement renovated. We choose Corefront out of 3 companies we interviewed because they listened to what we wanted and made it happen. They were polite and communicated well with us. We did have a few concerns however these were dealt with promptly and professionally. We are very pleased with our basement. We recommend Corefront without hesitation.

Had Corefront renovate our "big house on the hill". It was getting dated and tired, and the plan was to sell in the next 5 years. We had Corefront designers consult with us, using my guidance "I don't want to pay for anything the next buyer won't pay for!". They were excellent. We made the decision to reno the kitchen, much of the main floor, and the master bedroom ensuite bathroom, and get rid of all the 80's Oak. They worked within our constraints, did everything we asked and nothing more. I liked their process, and their trades. We worked hard in the planning phase to ensure we would get what we wanted, and then they had a "trades day" once the final drawings were complete. All their sub-trades knew exactly what scope and materials to bid, and we got price certainty. There were a few minor surprises behind the walls, but generally we stuck to the budget. Their quality was excellent. I always felt like they were intent on meeting or exceeding my expectations, and when minor things were done incorrectly, they were fixed quickly and at no charge. Especially in the kitchen, the quality was evident. The design was modern, and the workmanship was beautiful. End of the story, we sold the house this summer, and the new buyers are thrilled. They love the modern feel of the house, and we loved the quick sale!! I heartily recommend Corefront for your next renovation!

We live in a typical Calgary bungalow; build in 1965, which after 50 years required a significant update. After some very careful consideration we decided to renovate the main floor of our house. Main purpose was to unite the fragmented floor plan (small kitchen area, separate small dining area, living room) into a “one room” concept which would provide us with a large kitchen with customized island, and a dining/living room space accented by a fireplace and cork flooring throughout the top floor. We went to a couple of “open houses” organized by renovation companies to get an idea of the kind of projects and quality of the work done by these companies. We followed this up by requesting an estimate from a couple of companies. In the end we settled on Corefront, as they were willing to spend the time upfront to explain how they work with clients, the process they used etc. We completed our renovation a couple of months ago and we are very pleased with the result. We believe that a key to the success was that there were absolutely no surprises. We spend approx. 4 weeks with a design firm recruited by Corefront to go through the design of the floor plan, materials for the custom kitchen, cork flooring, paint, fixtures, tiles to be used etc. It was at that time that we got an exact estimate of what it was going to cost us etc. The initial plan exceeded our budget and we worked with Corefront to reprioritize our needs so that we had a plan that was within our budget. We signed the construction contract just before the June 2014 flood, it was anticipated that the renovation was going to last 4 months. In the end it took 5 months, which considering what happened to Calgary post flood was not completely unexpected. The Project Manager that was assigned to our renovation to manage the sub-contractors was excellent. He had high quality standards and in the event we noticed quality issues, there was never any push back. He felt that his job was to make sure that Corefront’s clients were satisfied which is a good attitude to have. Many people we know have horror stories about their renovations, either substandard work or having to continue to (re)negotiate the (increased) cost. We did not experience any of that with Corefront. In the end we paid exactly what we had agreed on when we signed the contract. Based on our research, Corefront is likely not the cheapest renovator out there, but in the end you get what you pay for and it was well worth it. We recently completed a home renovation project with Corefront and were very pleased with the entire process and result. We replaced our dated kitchen as well as expanded the reno to include new ceilings, railings, lighting and flooring throughout our home. The whole project was well organized from beginning to end: initial planning and costing estimates, creation of a design plan and selection of everything from cabinets to flooring etc, demolition and construction and final installation and finishing. Throughout, the continuing communication and onsite supervision resulted in the project proceeding well. All the trades used were professional and resulted in an excellent finished product. We would have no reservations about recommending Corefront to anyone else.

We engaged Corefront for an extensive home renovation of our inner city Calgary home. The process included planning, design and execution of the reno. Throughout the entire process the Corefront team listened carefully to us, and every step of the way the team was extremely responsive to our queries and concerns (from the big conceptual: we want more natural light in our dining room, down to the small practical: can you touch up the painting on that shelf), so that our own ideas were seamlessly integrated with Corefront's expertise. All financial aspects were handled in an entirely transparent manner, on site management was absolutely superb, and the trades were top notch, clearly bringing pride of workmanship to the project. All of this together made it a real pleasure for us to work with the Corefront team from start to finish, and, importantly, resulted for us in our old and and tired looking home sparkling again, and being improved in many more ways than we even imagined possible. If we were to do it all over again, there is no question who we would be engaging. Corefront really succeeded in bringing our vision to life!

The Corefront team did a great job on this renovation. The completion was on time and the project team kept us updated on a regular basis. The designer used by Corefront used our thoughts and wishes to craft a modern design in the home. This was enhanced by the clean lines as executed by the Corefront team that changed our house into an open concept that is both spacious and warm. A great job upgrading our home .
