★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I rented out one of their units on 1087 2nd Ave NW in the Kensington neighbourhood of Calgary. What appealed to me right away was how clean and well-kept the unit was. Throughout my stay, the building manager was quick to respond with any issues and complaints. The service was prompt, personal and professional. Would highly recommend renting the place out, especially since they are one of the only rental companies that allow month-to-month.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had one of the absolute worst experiences with the office manager of battistella developments.
I have two babies and the elevators in our buildings was not working. I simply was calling to find out if they knew who the management of our building was, so i could call them to make sure someone knew about the issue. she wouldn't listen, said management probably already knew? and wouldn't let me get a word in edge wise. She wouldn't tell me her name and hung up on me about five times before she told me she was the office manager.
Even if she didn't have an answer to my question she could have said so and it would have been over. Disappointing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very cheap build quality. Wooden condos are surprisingly built better. You can hear everything from the unit above you. I've never seen a concrete condo have such poor sound isolation.
As I test I went to a wood building that has a ton of bad Google reviews about footsteps and noise problems with a friend and indeed our Batistella experience is for sure worse and the footsteps were not as bad in the cheap quick build wood condo than my Batistella concrete condo..... That's sad

I have been in Canada for over 7 years in 2 cities (Montreal and Calgary) and I have lived in several apartments and this had never happened to me. Now I want to be clear what this company has done to me so I create awareness.
This is a group that promotes a "rent to own program" so at the begging I met with a person call Leanne which was always rude to me and to many other residents at INK in the East Village. Certainly many people complain about her, this woman made me feel like a second class citizen anytime she could. After a short period they let her go and things got a little bit more calm.
I finished my year lease and I decide not to buy the apartment right now since I am not in the financial condition to make that kind of purchasing and now they are claiming that the apartment must be in mint conditions so they can sell it to someone else. They want to keep my complete secure deposit so they can repaint the complete apartment. They clearly are upset that I did not buy the condo and they want to keep my deposit.
No apartment has to be repaint after someone live in a place for a year. I hang 2 Tvs and the walls were properly painted by a professional which I paid. Even when I was handed the keys for the last walk through, the person commented that they were little details but the apartment looked great, those were her words.
Please avoid working with this people.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been living at Colours for the last few months and have been continuously disappointed with the lack of care Batistella shows. This building gets broken into multiple times a week, with all the mail boxes being opened and mail being rifled through. The building is operated by Peka and they are without doubt the laziest, most incompetent building management I've ever encountered. Our parking garage is being broken into at least once a week and the 'security' presence is completely useless. Having storage lockers, bike lockers, vehicles, and mailboxes broken into is completely unacceptable.
Other than the view from my apartment, this building is embarrassing and I can't wait to move out and tell everyone I know to stay clear.
