In 2017 Cooper Equipment Rentals made their first step into Alberta with the acquisition of 4 Way Equipment Rentals and Alberta Lift who had locations in Edmonton and Calgary. In 2018, Cooper acquired Modern Industrial Equipment with locations in Calgary and Medicine Hat. In 2019, Cooper expanding further into Alberta with the acquisition of Prime Rentals and the opening of their Climate Control branch in Edmonton.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our company rented a 20' Scissor Lift from Modern Rentals through their General Manager, Rick Gustafson, and were lied to about the delivery fee being waived. Two of our employees confirmed by phone that because we were within a proximity delivery would be free. The only way we were able to receive the rental was to give our credit card in advanced without being sent an invoice. The invoice came the next day with an $80 delivery charge.
We called today, Dec. 19, 2017 and were told that delivery would have been free had we picked the rental up from Modern Rentals and, "driven it to the location, but you shouldn't have done that anyways." I'm pretty sure that would have been an illegal use of the rental, so I don't know how we could have reasonably been told that delivery was free.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I rented a Cut and Break saw to try and cut out 3 basement windows. I was unable to cut the windows out because I think the saw was just to small for the very old concrete I had to cut (1950s). At first i had issues and they were more than happy to service the machine to make sure it was working properly. So I tried again and still had the same problem. When I told them what was happening they were quick to refund the rental cost and were left with a very happy customer. I would rent from them again in a second.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dealt with Joel Franks not sure if he works in this location or not but he provided great customer service and getting us a forklift and the time we fashion he even came down to our place of business to help us fill out the credit application. We will definitely be using Cooper equipment for any of our rental needs going forward.
