From Administration to Victor I found them all to be very knowledgeable and helpful. Sometimes people do not understand the difficulties they have to deal with on a day to day basis. As everyone wants something done right away. They show professionalism and provide true service to both Chilean and people from around the world ??❀️? Gracias!

I imagine that like many Chileans in Canada who are looking at how to get our 10% of the AFPs, we encounter some barriers that will delay this process (either expired card, AFP affiliation or current account in Chile or another), for The same sent an email with my doubts to the Vancouver consulate, I did not imagine that I was going to get such clear, precise and incredibly accurate answers from them, however was and I am pleasantly surprised by it. The person responsible for helping me is Mr. Peter Siemsen, who without knowing him but due to his writing, the certainty with which he solved my doubts and prompt response to my concerns I could see that he is a person fully committed and dedicated to his work, very proactive and without a doubt someone quite smart. Thank you very much for the help Mr. Siemsen.

I visited Sept 30 and Oct 2021. Both the Consul and assistant were courteous and helpful. I am looking forward to get my ID and passport soon. Thank you

Not willing to give 5 stars because it is annoying that I need to make multiple trips from Vancouver Island to drive my boyfriend to this place during a pandemic to do tasks that can theoretically be done in a single appointment. The only positive is that they are quick with him via email correspondences and are flexible to give him dates. The massively annoying part is their system in general. They're not open for many hours, most of the essential staff needed to fulfill one of my boyfriend's paperwork was deemed nonessential and a different appointment needs to be booked in addition to our two trips... my boyfriend ended up cancelling that appointment because we are not going to make a third trip under 60 days. First trip was to renew his two pieces of ID, second trip is to pick up said ID they won't ship it without charging an exorbitant amount. The processing fee was pricey in USD, you'd think shipping would be included with it...

If I could give zero stars I would. The staff are arrogant, unhelpful, and borderline incompetent. It is a real shame that the official face of Chile in Vancouver is such a disgrace. Please hope to God you do not have to deal with Victor B. I never had high expectations due to my experience with other embassies and consulates, but these guys really dropped the ball big time. The only shining grace is that they rep the local Chilean store, Panaderia Latina Bakery.

I’m going to first start by saying that I am technically still Chilean but consider my self a proud United state citizen. I have spent most of my adult life in the USA and I’m extremely grateful for all the wonderful opportunities this country has given me. Now to this Chilean consulate I got to say is probably a disgrace to the Chilean culture.. the fact is that I’m trying to drive from Washington state to Vancouver to do basic documentation to obtain a pension that I have in Chile, and do some paperwork that I need to do at the Embasy….And this people won’t answer their phone, they asked to email. They do email you right away but with very short answers and they don’t elaborate on anything as to what you need to do instead they encouraged me to go somewhere else to San Francisco,CA to do this?I found this extremely unprofessional an slap in the face…I’m trying to make sure to get my pension to my mother who is 70 years old and have until the end of the year to do or otherwise moneys goes by by. Been trying for the last 6 months!! Can’t go to Chile or San Francisco and even though this consulate is literally across the border I can’t go? I’m vaccinated/ Covid test what could go wrong? Thanks for the hospitality count one of your own out for good ??

Very disrespectful way of answering emails and comunicate with people. I ask about the new guidelines to travel to Chile with 2 Canadian kids under 6 years (Chilean parents), and the response was that it was not allowed at the moment. When ask them back if this measure was going to change he says he didn't know. And reading official government sites I found there was this new rule from November 1st and it talked about kids under 6. When I ask him about what did it mean, he says he cannot interpret it and that his instructions where that kids are not allowed in chile. He was very rude in his answer and actually ended up calling me rude. The only upside is they answer the emails very fast.. even on weekends... unless he was just doing it to insult me...

When they say, "we'll email you when we get your document" they won't email you. Like is it too much to ask for? When your own staff tells you hey we will contact you and they never do? Like I had to email them because it was taking so long and I come to find out that they had my document for almost a month.
