From my personal perspective, Columbia College is optimal option to start your academic journey. I finished my secondary and university transfer program from 2016 to 2018. Finally, with cumulative GPA 3.85, I got the Simon Fraser offer with entrance scholarship and University of British Columbia offer at the same time, and I choose the University of British Columbia offer at the end. I spent the happiest academic two years at Columbia College, and I am always grateful to all the instructors and counselors I have ever met at Columbia College because they lead me to the path to UBC.

I would give it zero stars if I could, don't waste your money at this college, there is no diversity. Some of the instructors, especially in the english department are racists and nothing is done about it. They will take your money and treat you like garbage...some of their staff is outright rude and disrespectful. I have never had such an experience at another college, glad I left

How to make your decision about entering CC If you prioritize: - diversity, vibrant campus life, strong college spirit DO NOT enter CC. If you prioritize: - a viable university transfer pathway/ getting a PGWP in 2 years, CC might be for you. Other factors that you wanna consider, but is highly situational: - Quality of education -- depends mostly on the instructors you choose because they decide how challenging the course will be and the kind of stuff they wanna teach. Like every school, some professors are amazing and others are not. The professors I adore are not necessarily the ones others adore. So, it depends on what you are looking for. - Administrative service -- depends on the individual staff you roll with. Most important persons you will need to consider are your counsellor and career advisor. There are a handful of counsellors in the college. Some are amazing and others are not. Personally, I vouch for the career advisor, Linus. Overall, I'd say that the Students Services department needs to up its game on serving their students. More personal take: My CC experience was awesome because it was a great fit for ME. My priority was having awesome professors who discussed stuff I wanted to discuss about. The non-academic staff and quality of school facilities or extracurricular events were of little concern to me. I really enjoyed the professors in the philosophy, psychology, anthropology and political science department. But, I've been biased towards these disciplines from the get-go. Having said that, the college has a lot of improvements to make. The professors I had might have been great but I doubt that the institution itself holds a student-first philosophy.

It’s been a while since I’m out of this college but some teachers here know how to make themselves to be considered as middle school teacher or probably they want to fill in their boss-wannabe ego.

Honestly not a good college at all unless your Indian, since this school is full of Indian students , the English department is absolute trash and they changed their teachers all the time so there's not a sustainable teaching method, the rules are ridiculous as they would give you study probations unlike other colleges, not to mention the Indian students are pretty RACIST... which is one of the reasons why I left this college, so over all not recommended.

Hi everyone I want to thank Columbia College for giving me a lot of oppertunities and being the part of Community Connections program at the college which offers student Employment & Paid Work-Integrated Learning Opportunities. Being working at 312 Main as Member service Intern I am getting a lot of exposure to the non profits which is helping me to built my future around the field in which I want to work. This is possible because of the community connection program at columbia college and as a student of college I have access to oppertunities that are helping me to built my future.
