★ ★ ★ ★ ★ These guys are outstanding. I've been coming for a long time now but every time I'm always impressed by their professionalism, service and kindness. Yesterday one of he owner spent a fair amount of time to help finding a bolt with a specific size. The way they organized the store to keep serving customers as efficiently as possible during this Covid period is also so well though off. An now you're even protected from the rain while waiting outside. A gem of a store! Highly, highly recommended!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quality depends who of the crew has lumbar background. So. most only construction, nothing home or fine work. So, they sell anything and if you do not check it, you can get a surprise of bad quality, what you have to solve. For saving tie, it is better to go to others, where you select what you want. So, I ordered 2x6x6ft and told them it is for a guest bed frame, so I need nice quality, but not expensive. They sold me a 12ft that they cut to 6ft. It was dark as I bought it. At home I saw a lot of wholes in the wood, that I can not use to make something with it. I learned again, that most of the crew are not nice or what ever and they do not listen. So, I have to go to LOWES, RONA or Home Deport to get it right.
I can not recommend this kind of customer service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ On of the last truly owned and run lumber stores, Coe staff are the real deal and the biz exists precariously on valuable land amidst lucrative urban pressures. One day they will be gone and we will lose a well stocked, well serviced and well located builder and supply store. Like all the good things about Vancouver, tear them down, take your money to the bank, sterilize character spots, forget them, rincé and repeat. Coe saves a long drive for hardware and building supplies.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The lumber was great and the staff in the woodshop who cut it were really nice. Customer service inside the store... Not so much. The older gentleman who works there was very intimidating and not keen on helping me with the cuts of wood my partner and I were looking for. We got the sense that we needed to be knowledgeable of the products we wanted to get help. Will probably not buy from there in the future, but we're thankful for the products we received.
