Having done a tremendous amount of research I made the decision to move my insurance to the Co-Operators due to the tremendous reviews and recommendations I received so off I went. Went in to this office with intentions of getting a new auto policy, upon entering the office one lady was talking on the phone literally 4 feet in front of me and a younger man was sitting in the office 5 feet away. Neither one of these two offered so much as a greeting or even an acknowledgement that I was even standing literally 4 feet in front of either of them. Albeit the lady at the front desk was speaking to a customer a simple smile or head nod to let me know I exist would have been nice. The younger man was clearly sitting at his desk chatting on his phone...very obviously not at all interested in helping a new customer. I waited for about 10 minutes at which point I left the office, walked 6 doors down to a Desjardins office and was instantly greeted with a β€œWelcome” and a handshake and the willingness to talk with me even offering a coffee...very rare these days. Within 15 minutes I left the Desjardins office with new policy in hand knowing that I made the right choice. If you decide to go to this location take the extra 1 minute and walk down to the Desjardins office, as friendly and helpful as Dan was I get the impression everyone in the office is the same, as you will not regret the extra time and will be significantly more satisfied knowing you made the right decision. 1 star is far to much for this Co-Operators office as there is absolutely no excuse for not even acknowledging the presence of a person standing 4 feet in front of you or not even the ability to take your eyes away from your chat screen. The differences are very obvious from the moment you walk in the door and it will become very obvious as to whom you will deal with almost immediately.

I got great support on the phone and was asked to go to the nearest location for some paper work on my auto and home insurance, I have been trying to reach them from past 2 days with no luck. It is very frustrating because the AJAX office responded immediately and had to call Pickering office to let them know that i was waiting for them to call despite of me leaving 2 voicemails and reconnected with customer service on the phone and they have already intimated the Pickering office twice to contact me. I still haven't got the call, poor service and it's just this location. If I don't get a call before noon, i will go to Ajax office.

Great customer service! Jawed really helped us for our whole journey for buying a car. He was really helpful and kind. Always available for us all the time and helped us. Fara is also very helpful as well for finalising document and she is very friendly and sweet. All over it’s best experience.

Received an email from my insurance company stating that because of the coronavirus hardships they were going to refund 15% of the yearly cost of my insurance. Thought that was very thoughtful of them, finally received the refund they notified me of getting and I instead of $570 (15%) that was promised I received $40. I actually believed them when they emailed me and said that I was to receive 15% of my premium back. They even said if you pay monthly instalments it would be deducted from the instalments BUT if you payed them outright you would receive a cheque in the mail. $40 instead of $570 the promised. Worse than the politicians

When we moved from Toronto to Windsor we were with the cooperators for auto insurance and our rates really went down. We now needed home insurance along with auto. What a nightmare with this company. I was asked to provide pictures of the home after we moved in. The home has base heaters which were not maintained by the previous people. I told them I was going to be upgrading our heating & cooling system but they wanted to much from me meaning they wanted us to break our walls and open up the base heaters so they can see inside. Lol and who is supposed to pay for all this? Me of course. At one point they said our home is a high risk, and they threatened to cancel our home insurance not even 30 days with them for home insurance. So if your going to threaten me like this. It’s bye bye. Considering I was with them for 5 years. Not worth the headache folks.
