This is the most unprofessional health care centre I've ever been to, I had to bring in my grandfather here on Aug 2 for an Echocardiogram appointment and when I showed up there was a sign saying they were closed. So I talked to my family doctor and they rescheduled me for Friday Aug 4 for 9:00am. Now it's today Aug 4 and we arrive here at 8:40am. Time goes by it's 9 and nothing from the reception lady, I assume it's ok they will grab us soon (mind you we are the only ppl here waiting) .I leave my grandparents to go over to eat breakfast over at Halibut house. I come back at 9:50 and they are still waiting. At this point I lose it, so I let the receptionist know about Aug 2 and how we were scheduled but when we arrive they were closed. So she tells me that the Technician is late and stuck on the highway. Mind you my grandfather appointment is at 9am. The technician just arrived (10:10am) in a superman t shirt looking like he just woke up an hour late. HOW UNPROFESSIONAL and the receptionist had the audacity to talk to someone on the phone talking about me and how I shut up after the technician showed up. I WAITED AN HOUR FOR AN APPOINTMENT FOR 9am, these people at CORCARE don't understand the definition of appointment. Worst place ever.

Inattentive doctors - never have info I ask for scheduling nightmare Waiting 3 months just for test results My doctor told me she "didn't have my file with her" during one of our remote appointments and couldn't answer questions about my test

The receptionist seems not attentive, she was talking on the phone for 5 minutes a d I was standing infront of her. Interestingly, after finishing the phone she didn't talked to me instead she talked to the person behind me. As if I didn't exist. May she is racist. They have information from my family doctor and they want again to fill patient intake record from me. Can't understand. My appointment is 12but already at 12:45 , I am still waiting. Corcare should hire more professional people or give training to existing staff.

The location was easy to get to, though parking lot was packed, not enough spaces close by. The office decor/layout was welcoming and clean. The Doctor was ok- bedside manners could use improvement (did not leave small curtained area while i changed into the paper bib/vest to complete stress test), however was pleasant and informative. The major downfall was the front desk staff -both the family health side and corcare- were very cold, and unwelcoming. The employee i interacted with had an accent and when they were asking a question "can i see your health card" i did not understand what they asked for, and kindly asked them to repeat - BUT had to do so 3 times, with no effort on their end to adjust how they said the sentence or indicate to what they required.. ALL THE WHILE i had my health card my hand and in their view(elbow on the counter with it in my hand)..She could have simply pointed at it and repeated the question but instead chose to bluntly repeat it as if I should have known better and avoid eye contact. Then I overheard another staff (also with a heavy accent) on the phone trying to book a client who obviously couldn't understand them either, and listened as she repeated the information 3 times over with an increasingly annoyed tone. I get that working in healthcare is a stressful job, and on top of that working in a country where their main language might not be your mother tongue is probably really tough..but man, at least be pleasant and attempt to bridge the gap

Going to CorCare Pickering was quite possibly one of the worst experiences I’ve had when receiving health-related tests or care. It started with my call to confirm appt, and ask about whether I needed to fast for treadmill stress test. The receptionist spoke as if I was bothering her with the question and rushed me off the phone before I could ask another. Then when I was at the clinic for my appt. the same girl (whose voice I recognized) was very curt and short in speaking with people, she talked way too fast for elderly patients to understand her, and she seemed frustrated with an older man who came in to see his doctor for his appt and she spoke down to him when telling him it was a β€œphone appt” only and that he needed to go back home. Getting to my actual stress test, it was complete chaos!! There were two techs (no doctor), one of the techs I believe was in training, she put my electrodes on me wrong, but the β€œsupervising” tech didn’t notice until the end of my test as he was taking them off of me and only told her then!. At one point they even had the wrong person’s name on the screen! They were both talking at me so loudly and so fast and asking me several questions at once, all while hooking me up to wires and machines, scraping my skin, with no explanations, I was IMMENSELY STRESSED before the stress test even started. They hooked me up to blood pressure machine and I told them that it won’t be accurate because my blood pressure is abnormally high in medical settings-I showed them my printout of blood pressure readings I’ve been taking at home 2x daily for past 2 weeks which was in the complete normal range, but they didn’t really want to look at it. From all the stress of just getting prepared for the test and the atmosphere they created, I knew my BP would be high. I’ve worked out for several years, hard intense workouts, but after 5 mins they stopped my test (I felt 100% ok cardio-wise) but they wouldn’t let me continue because of β€œhypertension”. I understand they have to follow rules/procedures but I’m positive it was THEM causing my BP to rise and not the test itself. Oh, and NOT ONCE DID I SEE OR SPEAK WITH A CARDIOLOGIST! I was there bc of chest pain and family history of Angina, but no one spoke to me at all about the EKG reading. I would NEVER EVER recommend CorCare in Pickering to anyone who needs a stress test. You’ll be stressed to the max before you even begin your test!

I like my doctor but scheduling is a nightmare. I had an appointment scheduled, they moved it and didn't tell me that they were changing the time and location. The location was completely unfamiliar and I basically just missed the test completely. I like my cardiologist, but everything else is awful. They're unprofessional not helpful in any way and are confusing to deal with at every point and you can't call and talk to anyone to get a time, location information or anything of the sort. They don't answer the phones at all and say to email for "faster service." They answered my email EIGHT days later. They left me a message and told me to call back and to press extensions that didn't work to confirm I would like this rescheduled appointment. Just hoping they read my email soon enough to know I confirm!

Excellent people. P.s. tip = be sure you go to the correct location for your appt; ( Milner Ave ,Kingston Rd or Bayly st ) Doctor S Kassam very helpful . Stress test lady and reception very professional communicators.

I want to commend the staff at this location for their attention to detail and care. I went in to have my heart checked on and everyone was very helpful and compassionate. The receptionist was very warm and friendly, and the cardiologist tech's were very genuine and heart-felt. Those individuals went above their duties of just monitoring my heart and provided empathy and great conversation about life and helpful tips. They were like friends and this type of energy is healing and helpful when working in health! ( I work with people in close contact). Thank you for the great staff, and please commend them for their efforts and care.
