They really took the time to talk me through the whole process of what they were doing while helping her stay calm and comfortable. Definitely going back here and would recommend it to anybody looking for a professional vet for their cat :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was very impressed with The Dog & Cat Hospital in Clearview. They treated my little kitty so nicely, didn't push her when she was uncomfortable and did a fantastic job on her spay. They were professional, responsive and very easy to work with. I had got quotes from a few places in central Alberta and they had the best prices for the spaying operation. They gave clear instructions for the after care and I will definitely be bringing my other animals in under their care. I highly recommend this place.

We first took our cat here to get rid of ear mites that she came home with when we adopted her, and we now just got her spayed and they did an excellent job.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very disheartening experience, will not return and would urge anyone to look elsewhere before going here. The veterinarian spent more time trying to upsell diagnostic services than she did examining my kitten. She did not even pretend to care, and she offered no advice or home management solutions. Her only concern was making a high pressure sale. Why someone like this would go into veterinary medicine is simply beyond me.
I declined the majority of the diagnostics and services, and she was not happy. I had to push repeatedly for her to agree to inject my kitten with an anti-emetic. She tried to claim my kitten would need to be sedated for an exam or for any treatment at all, but that it was too late in the day for her to do it, so she would need to transfer us to their other location. Worthy of note, I told the vet as soon as she came into the room that my kitten hates being petted on her back, and only enjoys being rubbed on her forehead or cheeks. Yet, the first thing she did, was start petting my kitten’s back, exactly what I suggested she not do. It was ironic that she tried to claim nothing could be done without sedation, yet made no effort to approach my kitten in a manner that would calm her: Furthermore, sedation occurs via injection, insisting on an injection, prior to giving a medication injection made no sense at all. She said she would give me a call to follow up the following day, however I never heard from her or anyone else. It seems follow up calls are not provided to those who do not fall prey to their high pressure sales tactics.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is an incredible facility! I highly recommend them! The staff are so friendly and helpful. All the doctor's and technicians are so thorough, and professional, and have a genuine love for animals. They explain Everything to you, and make you feel right at home. Their attention to detail is amazing, right down to any allergies your pet my have, as they give them treats to keep them calm and happy during procedures. I recently had x rays taken for my puppy and Dr. Straub took us to the computer and went over every detail with me, explaining everything and telling me exactly how to care for my puppy, and help her heal from her injury. They made me aware of any and all risks involved with my puppy's medication, including how to administer her prescription at home, and any risks with her having to be sedated. They also give you an estimate of cost before going forward with any procedure, and explain the individual costs, so you're not blindsided with an unexpected bill. I felt confident because of the knowledge they passed along to me, and most importantly, my puppy feels comfortable when we go there. She knows she's going to be treated with love, and probably get a treat! I cannot thank them enough for the amazing care and love they showed me and my pet! ?
